Clinton and MSNBC Anchor Comments

Ummm.....so does Hillary. In fact, her husband is the one who brought it back to being a popular thing to do. What disgusts me is that I could've very well just aborted my son.........and the same time he was born very much healthy and alive.

As for the comment, I thought it was hysterical. First of all, people have the right to say what they want to without being censored by presidential candidiates. The fact that this news anchor has been placed on leave disgusts me. Much worse has been said about Bush's entire family the past 8 years and the Clinton's just reveled in it. Secondly, the truth hurts. I have no doubt in my mind that they are using Chelsea to "appeal" to the younger voters, to celebrities, and whatnot. It's obvious in the places she's been speaking and who she's been photographed with as of late. If you can't handle the truth, which we all know the Clintons cannot even spell the word, then back down and let the real men/women do the job.
Thats news to me. From what I understood, she was for it ONLY if the mothers life was in danger. Honestly... supporters of partial birth abortions make me sick. I could see why it should be done if the mother was going to die. I absolutely REFUSE to vote for someone that can be so heartless just so a woman can choose. Choose to commit murder, that is.:mad::mad:

As usual, she is making a big deal out of something insignificant for political gain. Way to muzzle free speech Hillary! I guess this is what we have to look forward to if she gets the nomination.

:hail: I think a public apology (a REQUEST not a demand) could be fine.. but censoring it? Ummmm NO. The reporter should probably have a stern talking to about what words are appropriate for use on national television, but they should be able to suggest any slant they want to a story...

I think she should grow up, suck it up, and move on.

If she gets the presidency (GOD frobid) is she going to throw a tantrum whenever someone says something about her or her family? Is she going to refuse to do her job because "people are mean" BOO HOO.

Take a tissue and go cry some place else.
Exactly. If I was old enough to vote this would be scaring the daylights out of me.

Grammy, as usual, has hit the nail on the head.

Slightly OT, but I have a friend whose ENTIRE family is voting for Hillary.. and wait for it... JUST because she's a woman. They want to see a female president.

You know I really fear that that is the reason MOST people are voting for her... just because she is a woman.

 such wonderful criteria for casting a vote for the person that will be running this country.

And then those types will be the first to complain when their choice gets into office and does something they don't like.

I'm not into politics , but I am into character ! Hillary will say anything to gain votes !! Sure I'd vote for a woman/black/yellow or red person . My vote will be anti Hill/Bill !!! I just wish that we had none political people running for the the good of the country . A Reagan/ Truman / Eisenhower .... love them or hate them ... they were not out to glorify themselves . I always try to vote for the right person ......I feel that this year it will be the lesser of the two evils .

exactly!

I dont care what gender or color you are.
I dont think it should effect someone's vote one way or another... look at the way they vote, their stand on the issues, the way they conduct themselves, etc.

Would I vote for a woman? Sure, if she believed the same things I did. Same with a black man. But I will never vote for anyone who thinks a woman goes out and gets herself pregnant so she gets to make the decision all by herself to murder her unborn child. And I will not base my vote upon gender/race.

I won't be voting for Hilary or O'bama. Of course they are democrats so they never had a chance for me to vote for them.

I also think Hilary doesn't have as good of chance because people are afraid of having a co-presidency type thing with her and Bill.

what does being called to a carpet for insulting someone have to do with free speech?

Just like Imus when you are AT WORK and you say the wrong thing AT WORK free speech has about NOTHING to do with it. You make a mistake you pay...sometimes with your JOB. You HAVE no free speech whatever your profession if you are in your place of work, because you likely signed something upon hiring that detailed the "code of conduct", or if you cause the place you work to be viewed badly and thus suffer "as a company".

If YOUR mouth makes you a liability then YOUR butt is accountable...period.

Free speech my kiester...NOTHING to do with anything you say in your place of work. That's as funny as people who whine about free speech and censorship on message boards when they AGREE to terms not to do or say or post certain things.

Lawdy lawd.

Voting AT ALL...for any reason entitles you to complain however much you want...IMO. The only people that shouldn't be complaining are the ones that didn't make a choice at all.

I didn't say they weren't entitled to complain.... EVERYONE can complain all they want whether they vote or not. I just think it is stupid to vote for someone based soley on their gender or race and yet have no idea as to what they actually stand for and then when they get in office you realize they don't stand for ANYTHING you stand for. To me... you can complain all you want but it was YOUR stupidity. (lol no YOU in particular lol)

Voting for someone because you can related to them is hardly stupid IMO.

Some people feel an honest bond because of race or upbringing, class or gender, age, life experience, etc...some will say it should not factor in to a decision on a pres. That's fine...but if I relate better to someone and think they "know" what it's like to be me, more so than someone who is my complete polar opposite...well then...

What's important to me is that people VOTE and I could care less why or how they arrive at their decision. Esp young folks...just do it.

see I disagree... she may be a woman but if she has a complete opposite view than me then she is not like me at all... well that makes her my polar opposite. Just because we have the same who ha or ding ding lol doesn't mean we are the same. I guess I just don't see how you can relate to someone who cannot relate to you. I don't relate with all women just because they are women... I don't know any woman that feels that way. or all people of whatever race related with all people of their race just because they are that race.

To me, voting and not knowing what you are voting for is just as bad as not voting. You are helping to put someone in office that you don't actually agree with... she just happens to have the same parts as you. IMO, that is just as bad as not voting at all... to me it is wasting your vote.

I think you are right that she is personally opposed to abortion, including partial-birth, but she may still be pro-choice.

http://www.ontheissues.org/2008/Hillary_Clinton_Abortion.htm

(That is a pretty handy tool if it is accurate. Can't vouch for it. You can check them all out.)

Here is a statement from Anne Rice the author, who is pro-life, as to why she is voting for Hillary in spite of that:

http://www.annerice.com/hrc.htm

And a general endorsement by her:

It is a major issue. I will most likely vote for a Democrat, but I like Ron Paul and some things about Huckabee. I have very mixed feelings about McCain and would certainly vote for the Dems if he is nominated. (No offense to his fans.)

If you are a Huckabee or Ron Paul fan, please take an interest in the vote count controversy in WA state.

We have had suspicous messes like this here before and it is not just the Republican machine. Maybe some outside pressure would help to clean things up.

I believe that there are plenty of people who are voting for Obama or Clinton for reasons other than sex or race. I think it is interesting that certain people focus on these issues and make these assumptions.

I am fairly certain that there are large numbers of voters that will vote for a caucasian male come November because he is a caucasian male. These people are, of course, at least as stupid as anyone else who chooses candidates based on such irrelevancies.

Well of course they are just as silly for voting because someone is a caucasian male... I don't think anyone hinted otherwise.

Also, no one said that there weren't people voting for Clinton or Obama that actually believe in their ideals.... but there ARE people that are voting just because of their race or sex....

No matter what race or sex the candidate is... if you are voting ONLY for that reason? What a waste
