Hey everyone,

My girl-friend bought a 3-month chihuahua puppy from her friend, somewhat I am skeptical that the puppy is not purebred, (she paid loads of money for it).

- attached a few pictures

What do you think?

I would say it's very likely she's purebred. With super popular breeds, like chihuahuas, there are sooooo many people breeding them and not all of them care that the dogs look like they are supposed to (or they have different opinions about how they should look). So you can get a wide variety. But I don't really see anything other than chihuahua in her. It will be easier to tell when she's older.

I agree with what you are saying.
Time will tell, thanks for your reply!

Looks like a Chihuahua to me. There are variations, of course within a breed. Some are bred closer to the AKC standard, some not so much. But from what I can tell in the photo...her head, her features, she looks very Chihuahua. The important thing is she's adorable and hopefully, this breeder she came from did some genetic health testing on the parents and that she breeds for good temperaments. That is what is most important for me. She sure is a cutie.
