Pox is so darn cute!

I don't know much about RT - will his ears stand up? Or stay folded over at the tips like they are now? I think they are adorable just how they are now.
They can either be button eared or stand up. I think (hope & pray) his will stand! Because he's a standard with gigantic ears, it just takes more time. They're going a little higher everyday and this morning he woke up with an ear straight up. My husband & I were cheering, it was ridiculous. :D

Haha. I'm the opposite - I love ears that tip over at the end rather than all the way pricked. Or one pricked and one not pricked. Lopsided ears are the best.

Breeding is happening this weekend! Watson is proving to be a good little stud dog, and Sadie is very sweet.

And somehow I have not been tempted to strangle Watson at all. He's able to relax and chill out while Sadie is in her crate in the same room. He whines a little if she goes outside, but he would do that with any visiting dog. I was so worried he would be the spawn of Satan for multiple days, but he's such a good boy.

We'll breed them again tomorrow and then Sadie will go home to NJ and we wait.

I'm kind of ridiculously excited! His breeder and I are discussing names and things. She's so excited for this litter too. One of the female puppies from Sadie's first litter is such a lovely dog - I'd be happy with one like her.

She's also probably talked me into taking a show pup and letting her breed one litter. We'll see! If Watson is this chill with intact females, it won't be a big deal to keep girl puppy intact long term, and I don't mind showing.

I'm also feeling much better about adding a second dog now that he's chill. A year ago he would be so obnoxious and unable to settle with another dog around. I think we can do this two dog thing.

Gestation is 63 days. So assuming she is bred Tuesday (last day we might try), that's April 6th, so might be then or a couple days earlier. Then puppies can come home in early June.
