Looks like 2015 is the year of the sighthound!

There's a chance I will get a female Welshie pup in May. She would be a Watson puppy :)

Of course, the breeding has to happen first, though this is the dam's second litter so that helps.

It also depends on where I'm working after my contract is up in April. I can either go back to my old job and live in my house, or work at this new company permanently which would involve a move. Fingers crossed we stay in our house so I can get a puppy!

Goals are the same as Watson- mostly dabbling in sports. I'll do conformation again if I get a puppy with good enough structure, but I'm not interested in owning the pick of the litter and having to breed her.

ummm-a-what? Fingers crossed!

I pretty much just decided all of this over the last week.

His breeder approached me about the breeding a couple weeks ago and I thought it was a great idea. The dam's first litter was with his father and the puppies are awesome. They want to use Watson this time because his eye exam was a bit better and we already know it's likely to be a nice litter since the dam paired so well with his dad.

It wasn't until the past week that I actually decided I wanted a puppy. I always said I would get a Watson puppy, but I also said I wouldn't get a second dog until we had a kid. But I know we won't have kids for another 2-3 years, and by then new puppy will be older and settled and it shouldn't be a big deal. And I don't think I'll want to get a puppy after I have a toddler. So yeah, I talked myself into it. Haha. Talking DH into it was surprisingly easy. He was like "Huh, I see your logic. Sure, we can get one" :lol-sign:

It does still depend on house stuff, since I don't know how we would raise a puppy in the middle of a move and with the work hours we would have up north. It would work so so well if I stay down south though.

A lab/golden cross doesn't seem like your usual type. It sounds like my type though! We need lots of pictures.
Not at all, but should be fun! I've fallen in love with a lot of Goldens in my classes lately, surprisingly!

I will post more details as soon as I get Mr. Pilot. ;)

There are some goldens I don't really like (aesthetically or temperamentally) but there are some that I really really love.

Whoo Watson baby! And temp Lab/Golden baby!

It's good to be back! I can be an elusive one sometimes. I'm thinking that with a new puppy coming, I won't be taking off again anytime soon.

Yes!

Yeeesss!

Yaaasss!

None yet, I'll probably find out a bit closer to when I'm going to be getting one. I'm dying to know, though!

 Thank you! I'm hoping that being back here will kick my butt back in gear to start taking more photos again. You guys are all so talented - it always gets my motivation back up.
AHHH I AM VERY EXCITE :D :D

I know it's a way's off, but seriously, so stoked. And yes, please take more photos, because I keep stalking your Flickr and the lack of regular updates makes me sad.

Slim chance there may be another beezer next year. I am not shopping or looking but I have been offered anything from 3 different litters. I have no preferences I told them that if they have something that looks like it has to be mine then we can talk.

I have to get some health testing done before I start thinking about having a litter of PRTs. I think I will do health testing on my Beezer boy and my PRTs then decide.

Puppies being born in 6 days. 6 DAYS.

Everyone keep your fingers and toes crossed that there's a little fawn and white female sport prospect cooking away in this litter, because if not my search will have to continue...

Woohoo! What are you getting? A silken? Or am I think of someone else?
Yep, that's me! <3 I'm going to a Silken puppy party on Saturday. SO EXCITED. Two different litters! I'm not getting a pup from either one, but I'm so excited to be around puppies (EEE PUPPIES) and spend more time with the breed :D

A puppy party sounds amazing! I'm hoping to work out a puppy party with the two Welshie litters I know about and get myself an invitation,.

I've only met a couple LHW and one silken so probably not the best to ask. I know silkens are supposed to be more borzoi-like vs whippet. The ones I've met have seemed fairly similar to me.
