All my tests for preterm labor came back negative, and the contractions never progressed...I'm still having them pretty much constantly. They arent really painful or anything but they are preventing me from sleeping which is annoying as can be.

I also fainted in the hospital before they got the IV in. So not much fun. But the baby seems fine and I'm hoping the baby will be full term, just not looking forward to three months of "taking it easy"

I'm glad things are ok, but I hope you can get some rest!

I'm not dealing with anything as serious as you MM, but this round ligament and heat intolerance stuff sucks. I'm having to curtail my activities a ton and it's really frustrating, I can only imagine having an official 'take it easy' prescription.

At the end of the month we'll be officially TTC. It seems so surreal! We just received some information upon his return home that is going to make the timing of the birth pretty tricky and hectic, but HOPEFULLY, so long as we're able to conceive by October, it will all work out.

I don't want to sound like a downer, but on average it takes couples TTC 6 months to do so. You'll only have 2-3 cycles by October (if you're regular), and if you time ovulation right and have sex on your most fertile days, about a 20% chance each cycle of actually getting pregnant.

It definitely can happen! But be aware of the odds. Even if you have perfectly normal fertility, can properly track your cycle and ovulation, and have very regular periods, it's still not that common to conceive so quickly.

We did the tracking and everything but honest we just had sex as many days, as often as we possibly could lol. My odds were lower of conceiving quickly coming off about 15 years of Depo/no periods. We lucked out and conceived 2 months in.

And a lot of people get it first time so just don't worry! And there is more time later anyway!

I'm hoping I inherited my mother's fertility genes, as when I asked her how long it took her to become pregnant when she and dad decided to start trying she said, "He just looked at me and I got pregnant." Lol I'm hoping I'll be in that 60% that conceives in the first 3 months.

If it takes longer it takes longer, it just won't be as ideal of timing and will cause much more stress...but we'll cross that bridge when we get there.

I'm tracking, and have some ovulation strips to double check my tracking, but I'm not going to stress over it. We have sex on a very regular basis, so it'll just be business as usual until it happens.

I'd say I conceived pretty quickly. I had a thyroid disease that after treatment left my endocrinologist concerned that I would be sterile. We decided not to worry about it and just tried to have sex as often as possible. I decided that if I wasn't pregnant in a year we would start tracking and possibly see a fertility doctor. I went off BC in October and was pregnant by March, so we lucked out.

Exciting!

I was off on my ovulation calculation our first month TTC, but we were successful on month two. LOL It was a little startling!

After two weeks of constant Braxton hicks that hadn't progressed, around noon today they got more painful and more frequent.

I have an appt tomorrow morning, but I'm waiting on a call from the midwife, and I'm a little nervous she's going to send me back to the hospital. I don't want an early baby and I don't want to be hospitalized a 4th time. Not a happy camper right now.

How exciting Hayley! Best of luck!

I'm 26w2d here - finally getting more active again: signed up for some water aerobics classes at the Y which I'm enjoying, went kayaking yesterday, and my neighborhood walks are mostly up to a mile without issues. :D

Munchkin is doing well - still suuuuper active, measuring right on target, and only kicking me in the bladder a couple times a day so far. LOL

I've gained right about 20lbs already, which I know is totally reasonable, but still so weird to see those numbers going up and it being a good thing. I've never been over 120lbs and I'm 130 right now. o_O My midwives recommended gaining 25-35lbs. Strangers still don't see me as pregnant unless I'm wearing a skin tight shirt. LOL

MM, have the BH contractions settled??

28 weeks here. Feeling pretty good, baby is very active and healthy. I go for my glucose test next week. Ugh.

I had a horrible sciatica flare up last night. Very painful, could not get comfortable, etc. Seems to have faded today. Hopefully no more problems with that!

Uh, no :( I was readmitted to L&D this weekend because they got worse, actually, but I'm getting regular fibronectin tests and cervical checks and so far that's all good so theyre saying it's likely scar tissue pain during the BH (which are caused by stress and possibly dehydration, even though I'm drinking around 3 liters a day of water). So im not too concerned and Tylenol is helping the pain...it's interfering with my ability to drive but I can handle that.

That's taken a back burner to the 3 day long hemiplagic migraine I just had. It's better today, so I'm hoping it's over forever. Otherwise they're just going to give me codeine, because it's probably just hormone related.

Oh, and I'm anemic now. I'm started to seriously consider the fact that this might be my last pregnancy, we planned on more but I don't know if I'd be willing to go through this again, especially with two kids to care for.

Wish me luck. I'm officially TTC as of the 15th

I'm not stressing or being overly optimistic, but it is super exciting.
That's so exciting!! :D I'll be right behind you. Our first real shot at trying is going to be the 21st! It's so mind boggling to think about.

Tell me about it. I'm insanely way too excited. Im hoping it wears off because I can't sleep. I'm trying not to obsess over temps from charting. The last two morning I've woken up way to early and couldn't get back to sleep which may or may not of screwed up temps- OV temps go be exact!! Grrrr!!! Oh well.

Just a heads up. 99% of people get pregnant when they stop trying!!! The body is a crazy crazy thing, and it responds to stress by protecting you and NOT getting pregnant. Just chill lol.

Ivy is practically EIGHT MONTHS now. Wow. Still love it. It's the best thing ever :)

So. I am three days late. Took a test this evening. Positive.

Holy crap.

He was out of town when I ovulated. His swimmers would have had to have hung around for about 4 days. On the first month we actually had an opportunity to get pregnant. What are the freaking odds.

But...........OMG!! :D :D :D

Taking another test in the AM to double check, then doctor next week.

So surreal.
