How is everyone feeling???

Any tips on getting a toddler to give up bringing milk to bed? (Yes I know this is horrible). She self weaned from the bottle at 15 months, but still brings a sippy cup of milk to bed. Recently, she's been waking up (not every night but every few nights) in the middle of the night crying for more. I want her to do away with it completely and just have water. Half the time she doesn't even drink it, she just wants to know it's there.

Tired, swollen, still pregnant. I was due this last Monday. I have a midwife apt today...my parents are scheduled to fly back home on Sunday. It'd be great if Baby Bean would make an appearance before then. Also, I'm cranky and whiny.
So everything is going according to plan? Our first guy was a week later than he was supposed to be. They have a different schedule, but they do come out when they're ready :)

Hugs to you Falon. Maybe you can get hubby to at least buy you an inflatable baby pool? Then you wouldn't have to share with anyone, too. ;)

I'm feeling good, but despite what everyone tells me, I feel like I just look fat, not pregnant. :p I'm wearing L and XL tshirts for work now so that the tummy isn't noticeable, but ugh. So very weird for this S/M person.

I am trying to stay active in this nasty heat - SUPing and prenatal yoga this week - hiking was just too darn sticky. Popsicles and a box fan are my friends.

IPO training was cancelled today so I do think I'll go for a second prenatal class this week, this time with the instructor I like. The other one is ok, but she and I just don't mesh as well as I'd like.

How far along are you now, Erin?

I am also in the "looking fat not pregnant" boat. Unfortunately, I have been looking "fat not pregnant" for the past 3+ months, and if this pregnancy resembles my first, I will continue to look fat and not pregnant for the next 2 months. Unlike my last pregnancy, I can not remedy this with oversized sweaters and leggings.

SO and my mom are convinced nobody thinks I'm pregnant, but everyone else is like "well you're not showing yet..." And no one is giving up their subway seat for me sooooo

Only less then two months until TTC. I'm getting super excited, with trying not to get too, too excited and get my hopes up. Eeekk!!
Me, too! The excited feeling is being over shadowed by the excited feeling of Michael coming home, though. I have a feeling that first month or three is going to just be "yey, he's back!" and then...."Wait. Why I have I not had a period yet." Hahahaha My brain can't process everything all at once.

I picked up some ovulation test strips (nothing fancy, but they work! It was like $10 for 50 of them) to make sure my charting is accurate and it is! Hooray!

17.5 weeks currently for me. :) The prenatal yoga instructor (that I'm not a huge fan of) greeted me with "you don't look very pregnant, how far along are you?!". >.<

Hayley and blackrose - those last few months are both exciting and slightly nerve wracking ime. Best of luck to both of you!!

I'm 24 weeks and I still just look bloated (pretty sure that's a nice way of saying fat). I know a few women who are due the same time as me, and they're all literally getting asked if the baby will be here any day now. I partially envy them because at least they look pregnant, but I'm pretty sure one of them already can't tie her shoes or shave her legs, so I guess the grass is always greener.

I've been temping and charting and everything looks good :) I was so worried that it would take my body a while to get in sync from being on HCB, but nope. Tyler is defiantly more nervous then me. I'm ready l

Yeah, pretty much :D lol Just waiting on him/her to make an appearance!

He bought me a kiddie pool today! :D I've been having swelling the last couple of weeks (did not have ANY the whole rest of my pregnancy!) and I think he's taking pity on me.

Oh man, I know what you mean! I felt like that (fat, not pregnant) until...about 5.5/6 months!

And no one is giving up their subway seat for me sooooo
I had a guy come work on my instrument at work Mon/Tues and he sat in the chair the whole time (couple hours), while I stood. Ankles swelled like whoa. LOL Some people are clueless as well! Just in the last month I've finally gotten the preggo perk of getting to cut the bathroom line hahahaha

Ummm, what? How incredibly rude! Maybe she was trying to sound nice?

Yes, best of luck to Hayley and blackrose!!! We took such a casual approach to it, and we got pregnant SO FAST, I was floored. Didn't chart anything, went off BC in July and just started randomly having sex whenever (who complains about that anyway LOL) and BOOM! Sept I got preggo. That's after coming off Depo...which I'd been on for....goodness 13 years.

LOL I told my regular instructor that today and she laughed and said, "yea, Judi really doesn't have much of a filter. She takes some getting used to."

Have I mentioned how much I love my regular instructor? I told her as much today and then had an awesome session with tons of balance and warrior poses that really had me working. I'm working really hard on not pushing the edge of my limits though - had a few round ligament twinges I listened to today for sure.

Babies are awesome. It's hands down the best feeling in the world. You're all going to love it. And it really does go so fast. Have a moment every day when you stop and just soak it up. Their little hands, their little noses, the rolls of podge, the little snuffles and noises. Wish I could bottle it <3

Did anyone cloth diaper their newborn??

With Lil, we used disposables until she grew into the one size pocket diapers I bought, used those until she started daycare at 15 months, then switched back to disposables.

With the new baby, she won't start daycare until 3 months, so I'd like to cloth during that time, using prefolds/snappis. I'm not sure how many covers I'll need or what brands are good for newborns.

I really want to find a yoga class after the baby comes :(

Round ligament pain sucks. The last month or so I could barely get up off the couch or out of bed if I laid down too long because of the pain.

I would like to know this feeling. In 4 hours I am one week overdue.

We are planning on cloth diapering our newborn. We're doing prefolds/snappis and covers. I chose GMD prefolds (all cotton, we did 3 dozen), with a few hemp and bamboo doublers. I also got a few fitteds (5) to try for overnight diapering. I did a ton of reading. If you don't mind "China cheapies" then Alvas are a really popular choice. The covers I chose for newborn are Blueberry Mini Coveralls, Thirsties Duo Wrap Size 1, and Rumparooz Newborns (I got 6 covers, two of each brand).

My favorite diapers are my sunbabys so I definitely don't mind the cheap china made diapers. I might order come Alvas? Do you think 6 covers will be enough? I was thinking I'd need around 8. (We'll probably do disposables overnight but maybe not until she's sleeping longer stretches)

Falon, I hope your baby has arrived safely and you are no longer pregnant and cranky.

I'm having some issues and I'm wondering if anyone else has experienced something similar, because right now my doctor seems clueless and is kind of brushing it off as not-pregnancy related (which may be true).

I'm having a lot of pain, basically in my entire torso area, but mainly in my upper back into my shoulder. I did have a similar, mild pain with Lillian, which I assumed was referred gas pain (it's like a lot of pressure and then a shooting pain), and which OTC medication (tums or whatever) seemed to resolve.

This pregnancy, it's 1000x worse (if it's even the same thing), to the point where I can't walk or even stand up straight, struggle to breath through it, etc. It's on and off (sometimes I feel completely normal, other times I have varying degrees of pain from annoying-unbearable), but it's getting more frequent and more painful.

Dr. is sending me to a chiro and says she thinks it's nerve pain. I....just don't think it is. It doesn't feel the same as previous nerve pain I've had. It also doesn't seem to be at all exacerbated by activity, or relieved by painkillers/heat/etc. I'm wondering if it's a gall bladder thing, it was suggested I get my gall bladder sonogrammed and I know women in my family have had it removed, but my doctor hasn't said anything about it. It does seem to often get worse when I eat, but not always, and sometimes it hurts even if I don't eat/eat a light/healthy meal.

Has anyone has similar symptoms?? Help??

I'm friends with Falon on fb and I know she has had her baby. Everyone is doing well and I'm sure she'll come and update officially when she can, I won't spoil the fun of sharing details. :)

MM have you seen the chiro yet? Sounds super unpleasant for sure.

We found out our baby is a little boy this week. DH is suuuuper excited and it's adorable. :)
