Cats can be truely finicky, and unlike dogs won't necessiarly come around and eat what you give them. IF you are worried about her food intake--you just want to get calories into her--try tuna fish from the grocery store. I've never known a cat that won't eat it. Also, try fish flavored canned food, the stinkier the better. Whitefish recipies tend to be especially smelly. But it just may take her a couple days to settle in, especially since she has reserves to live off of.

If after a few days she's still not eating and is refusing such goodies as tuna, I'd take her to a vet just for a look-see.

That is one beautiful cat. We have always been cat people. Mackie is our first dog. Everyone has given great advise. Good luck. (we had a cat that LOVED to fetch Q-tips. ha ha. Soooo funny)

UPDATE on Miss Kitty!

Yay! There's a small amount of the icky Fancy Feast dry food missing from her bowl, and there's turds in the litter box... success!

No one is claiming her yet.. this seems really odd. And building security took my signs down because apparently we can't post signs - they're "eyesores", urg. Kitty needs to find her home!

If Ronin wasn't so prey driven around cats, I'd keep her if I couldn't find her home. But, it just would not be harmonious!

Well I guess you could name her URG. You could work on the harmony with Ronin. From what I know of you, and there isn't much you can't do. Because it looks to me like
1)Whomever owned Kitty isn't looking very hard and
2)Kitty seems to prefer being where she is.

Over and out.

Sounds like you might have a new kitty. :D

I wouldn't count on her being a real snowshoe . . . She could just be a colorful siamese mix. ;) The breed of most cats is just "cat", LOL. (I did a quick search and the snowshoe breed started in the 1960s when someone bred a Siamese and a bi-colored American Shorthair . . . so I think it's likely any Siamese mated with an American Shorthair could produce that coloring.)

Yes, I did some searching too. The "breed" has been around for awhile, and there are breeders in my area. I was thinking it was a mix too, until I started looking at their temperament and breed standard... this kitty fits it to a "T". Along with the brilliant blue eyes... she looks and acts so much like a snowshoe that I'd be surprised if she was a mix.
