Anyone wanna meet up while I have Aeri and Snipe competing at CanAm? It's the largest flyball competition out there and is running Fri-Sun this week!

Oct 17-19th?

We will be three hours north of Indianapolis @ the disc comp in Indiana! Bummer that we won't be closer!

I live in Indy! Of course, this weekend is nuts with family coming in from out of town. I might be able to swing Friday, though... Do you have a link with info about the event (times and such)? I've never been to a flyball competition.

EDIT: Nevermind. I found the website. :)

EDIT II: I can't seem to find information on what hours the event is open on Friday. Is it not open for public audiences?

Totally open to the public at no charge. Racing runs from 8a to probably around 3p on Friday, 7:30a-4 or 5p Saturday, and 7:30a to early afternoon on Sunday.

Be aware that flyball is insanely loud, but otherwise it is fun to watch!

I'm okay with loud. I have a three-year old. :p

Which brings me to my next rookie question: Is it family-friendly? Or would kids be wildly out of place?

I think my son would really enjoy it. We could probably come mid-morning through early afternoon on Friday. Unfortunately, I wouldn't be able to attend Saturday or Sunday at all.

As long as your kid isn't the kind to run up to strange dogs, you should be fine - there are junior handlers on a number of the teams and we always have young spectators who enjoy seeing the fast dogs. :)
