Can you give a guess as to the breed?

My sister & BIL live on 8 acres in Arkansas, they have 2 chocolate labs that roam about the property. Not too long ago, both dogs came trotting up from the pond with 3 little pups in tow.........aparently dump offs. Since their dogs saw fit to rescue them, my sis figured she would follow suit :)

My BIL took the pups in to the vet and started shots, posted a pic as he is the only Vet in the area.........one had parvo which costed them over $200 to treat, but luckily the pup pulled through. No one has come forth (big WOW) but they have placed one of the pups in a good home.

The Vet estimates age at about 3 months.................My best guess was lab/rot or something of the like.............

What breed do you thing they maybe a mix of?

And I had to throw in this one to show how their dogs have taken these pups under their wing, and into their big old heated dog house!

My guess is a mix of a mix. Lab/Rott/Shepherd-maybe even a pit somewhere down the line.

I see Lab, definitely, and either Rottweiler or Shepherd. Cute pups!

Awww! Great rescue!

I'd say rottie/shep. mix... too often we just label dogs as labs and it's because we just don't know! lol But.. when they get older we'd be able to give a better opinion!

I'd say Rott/Shepherd..the ears look like they are just itching to try and stand up some more, lol.
Though, there are longhaired Rottweilers, so they could be Rott/Lab as well.
Easier to tell when they grow into themselves better, though. Puppies go through some WEIRD looking phases.

That is a wonderful rescue story. It's one of the cutest I've ever heard. My guess would be shep/rott mix. They are adorable though.

OMG! They are adorable. I absolutely love that last pic, how the Labs are loving them and taking care of them. So cute. My guess would be GSD/Rott/Lab, maybe even something else. The reason Lab is always a good guess is because there are soooo many of them. The odds are in their favor. LOL. Such good people to take them in like that.

I did forget to mention that both of their labs are MALE, and not brothers, so this isn't a motherly instinct! That is what I found so heart warming about it all, they just felt for the homeless pups and said "hey, there's plenty of room at our place!"

Oh, wow! What a wonderful story! I love the pic of them all together. :)
Adorable babies. . .it's a little harder to tell at this age, but if I were to guess it would be rott/shepherd.
