Can spayed female dogs give off hormones still?

I mean, I'm pretty sure the answer to this is no... But idk.

For some reason, dogs have been absolutely up Chevelle's butt today. My dogs and dogs at the dog park won't leave her be. She was spayed at 8 months and and is 18 months now.

What can cause that? Seems weird to me.

Possible UTI? When Kaylee gets them one of the first warning signs is the other dogs sniffing her more.

UTI is my guess, too. Logan currently swears Gavroche is in heat - and Gavroche has a UTI.

She hasn't been peeing weird or anything. I guess I can get her checked when I take Penny in to remove her stitches on Monday...

I would make sure she has lots of water available and maybe some cranberry juice. Typically I don't go to the vet for UTI's unless they don't go away with home care. Then again, at this point I have Cipro stocked up.

But anyways, if she might have one giving her lots of fluid to flush it out and cranberry juice is only going to help.

Gavroche doesn't "pee weird" (as in, accidents and bloody urine) until the infection has been brewing for a while. He's basically had one chronic UTI since January (or possibly earlier) and it just gets somewhat better with antibiotics. A month off antibiotics - bloody urine and accidents. In the time he's on antibiotics, his pee is fine, but the infection is still apparently there.

That's horrible!! I complain because Kaylee just gets them on a semi frequent basis but I won't complain again compared to that!

It's why he's eating pure gold. He's on Baytril for the next TWO MONTHS to try and get rid of it once and for all, and it's $210 DISCOUTNED. Full price would be $400. Apparently the bacteria seek refuge in his prostate when he's on antibiotics, since the ones he's been on don't penetrate into the prostate. Baytril, however, does.

He's been on the Baytril for about 2 weeks now, though, and his attitude has changed SOOOOOOOOOO much. He's way more active, so maybe it's working!

I do think that yes, sometimes spayed females give off scent changes. After Morgan was spayed, she still went through behavior changes, flagging and attracting the boys twice a year, right on schedule as if she were intact for quite some time.

It's possible another female around has been stinky. When Sloan smells great my boys love to check out Shamoo. Then again it's not always just being in heat that makes boys love Sloan.
