In light of the forum revival:

What are you currently reading? (Book, play, textbook, magazine, whatever).

What's on your to-read list?

What are your favorite books? (Or poems, short stories, plays, etc.)

Re-reading the Alloy of Law by Brandon Sanderson before starting the next two. On my to-read list is those and Calamity, that's coming out in 3 weeks.. and a couple novellas from him that I have on my Kindle.... Just love Brandon Sanderson...

Also got a novella to read from Brent Weeks while waiting for Lightbringer 4... and waiting for the next book from Peter Hamilton.

Love pretty much everything from those 3!

I'm reading Agenda 21: Into the Shadows by Glenn Beck. I really like the series (this is the second book). It's a dystopian novel taking place in future USA. Just so long as you ignore the fact that the author actually thinks this will happen if the US falls into the hands of liberals, it's very enjoyable.

After that I'm going to read Mockingjay now that I've seen the movie (yup, I'm weird like that, I do movies first).

My favorite book as a child was The Giver by Lois Lowry, and my favorite book so far as an adult is Swan Song by Robert McCammon. I haven't read The Giver since I was in middle school so I've been thinking about reading it again.

I've been on a classic sci fi kick so currently reading A Fall of Moondust by Arthur C Clarke. Also working my way through The Man who Couldn't Stop which is about OCD, kind of a hard read but interesting. Forged-which is about who actually wrote the books in the bible. The Man from High Castle-never been a big PKD fan but giving it a try before watching the show, good so far. Undeniable by Bill Nye, good as expected. Drunk with Blood-about all the killings god commits in the bible-kind of fascinating. I have that kindle app and you can have ten books out at a time so usually have a lot going on book wise. I just re-read The Girl with all the Gifts for those who like zombie books, it was a good one.

Currently reading: Go Set A Watchman by Harper Lee, I like it more than I expected to! I just finished Slaughterhouse 5 (one of the few Vonnegut books I hadn't yet read) and The Things They Carried. I love Vonnegut and thought both books were good but I'm not huge on war stories.

Also just finished Chasers of the Light by Tyler Knott Gregson (where's Fran when you need her lol).

Favorite books of all time - The Poisonwood Bible (Kingsolver) and Crime and Punishment. Also Siddhartha. I have a lot of close seconds lol. I don't really do fantasy or much sci fi besides big names like Bradbury, Verne, etc, unlike seemingly everyone on Chaz lol.

Maxy, did you see the new film of The Giver? I wanted to but never got a chance

Ooh I just read the Giver series recently, never had before for some reason. Been trying to do some of the classics and popular works like that. I started Catch 22 and couldn't get into it at all, I haven't read any of his works before though.

I'm reading the Red Rising series by Pierce Brown, I'm on the second book. It's very similar to The Hunger Games, I like it.
