I realllyyyyyy want one. A netbook OR a macbook..however, a macbook would require many more savings.

I really like the HP Mini..the one I want is like, 700, because vivienne tam designed it and made it cool.
But any suggestions/reviews or any of them? :) thanks

The little netbooks look cool, but I couldn't deal with an 8 inch screen, it's just too tiny. $700 would get you a pretty decent, and more capable full size notebook.

If you already have another laptop, or only want to browse the internet and look at emails, a netbook would be fine. I'd just feel a little restricted.

Yeah, I totally agree.
I have a pretty nice desktop, and this netbook would be only for like, taking it around the house and stuff and googleing things. Desktop would be for WoW and photoshop and stuff :p

this may sound goofy, but have you considered an iPod touch? It's way smaller and way more portable, and cheaper :)

Internet and chaz work very well on it, and it just uses your home wireless network.

LOL, I actually have an ipod touch..
It's true, I probably should use it instead of getting a laptop. I don't know whats gotten into me, I think its because I just noticed how cute some of the netbooks are :p But you are right

I build my own desktops but have used Dell laptops for years and absolutely love them. I'd never use their desktops but their notebooks are really well priced and so far no problems with any I've had. :D

I have a Dell XPS M1530 and I absolutely love it. It's ridiculously powerful, very well made, well designed, and built like a tank. However, it did seem like Ali was looking for something a bit smaller than a full size laptop.

A buddy of mine has one of the Asus EEE PCs, and it's pretty neat. I haven't used a whole lot, but it seems to work well. He's running Gentoo Linux on it, so I can't really say how well it run Windows apps, but it seems like it should be able to run most less demanding apps just fine.

I have the Dell Mini 9. Love the portability of it. I am usually always taking it somewhere.

Good for internet/email and not much else :).

Thanks for the suggestions :)
I've read good things about that Eee one...is it only Linux tho? And I can't seem to find the prices, lol.

I saw the little dell ones..they are adorable, I love the fact that they are colorful.
I've convinced my mom that we would go to best buy or frys today, to see if they have any and check them out. :D
