Since I now have a small dog that is going to need a jacket/coat come winter time, I'm starting to look at options and get ideas.

What I need:

Kieber is 11lbs, vet thinks he will max out at 14-16lbs.
Needs to be water proof and indestructible.
Temps can get into the teens, but mostly stays above 30 degrees during the day.

I've always liked the look of Foggy Mountain Dog coats - more horse blanket style than others and VERY durable!

I like the body fit of foggy mountain coats especially for leaner dogs. They also fit sighthound type bodys well.

They aren't indestructible though. I can't come up with anything that would fit that bill honestly. I like shedrow dog coats for cost/ warmth factor. But it's from a Canadian company.

Another strong vote for shedrow blankets. They are insulated, tough, well made and seem to fit a variety of dogs really well.
