Has anyone used one? How did you like it?

I'm looking to get one for Takoda, so I can actually take her out hiking with me and she can accompany me on camping trips and fishing trips again. She used to go do a lot of things, before her FA/R issued kicked in big time. :(

I have no personal experience but they look really nice - they look comfortable and durable, at least a lot more so than the other basket muzzles I've seen in stores. I know a lot of people on here recommend them. I've contemplated getting one for Happy.

I use mine on a daily basis (foster needs to be muzzled due to BSL) and love it. They're very tough, but pretty flexible and pliable. Won't freeze your dog's nose in the winter or burn them in the summer like metal baskets. And the holes are big enough to treat easily.

I think they are a better fit for short nosed breeds. I had a friend use one with a longer muzzle breed and the fit was not reliable.

I was wondering about this. I need to get a new muzzle for Yarrow, and was considering a baskerville, but they look really short and wide. He has a pretty long muzzle.

Serious dogs can (and will, in my understanding) pinch flesh through the Baskervilles.

I own two Baskervilles, neither fit Blossom LOL. I only have them for training purposes so not a safety issue, but yeah. They are super easy to deliver treats through though.

You might also look at the Jafco muzzles, it's my understanding the clear plastic Jafco are easy to cut treat holes into for muzzle training.

I have a small one and a bigger one, I like them a lot. I haven't used them much, just when Boomer was seizing on the way to the vet as a precaution, and to do my boss's chow's nails (she did hit my hand with the muzzle and it was fine). The small one fits Fiona fine, but I have doubts that it would stay on if she really tried (she doesn't need it either, I just got that one for free from work).

I do believe that conditioning the dog to the muzzle with good and yummy things (clicker work) is better than sticking it on them and 'forcing' them to accept it, for what it's worth.
