Yesterday Journey and I met up with a friend who we haven't had a chance to get together with in a long time. Hard to find free weekends! But it was really nice to spend a good portion of the day with her and her three dogs (two Aussies and a Kelpie), and as always, I took too many pictures haha.

She is so pretty. So sleek and athletic and tiny.

Journ and Wren were undecided if they should be friends. Journ is weirded out by starey dogs and Wren isn't used to having new friends over to her house. Silly girls. They weren't bad and definitely did have fun together, but need some time to get used to eachother lol.

Such a water monster now haha. I can't remember the last time I took any nice pictures of her completely dry.

More!

My prettiest girl. I was a little worried about ending up with a heavy, hairy Aussie and she ended up growing into exactly my ideal.

Handsome Finn, who spent most of his time staying out of the girls' way lol. So not as many pictures of him. I need myself a black bi I think. So pretty.

Just a few more!

Waiting for us to catch up. She's becoming such a people dog. She loves her friends, but she mostly wants to be where her people are nowadays.

Done!

Gorgeous dogs and it looks like everybody had so much fun.

I'm seriously considering an Aussie as my next dog and I know what you mean about being afraid to get a heavy hairy one. I would love to have one just like Journey!

Some breeders may as well be breeding Shelties their Aussies have so much coat. And don't get me started on Shelties. :p Journ has just the right amount of coat.

I saw one of my breeder's retired show dogs recently and I was surprised how fugly she was when she wasn't groomed for show. Too much coat, too much fat, not enough zoom. :p

Thanks, everyone!!

This makes me miss being able to go to the lake so much! :D
This was just the river but I wish we had dog friendly lakes to go to. That would be even better!

I love love love that field! Can we come hike with you please? :D

Fabulous photos, as always!
Haha, sure! Our friend actually lives on that property. So jealous lol. One day I too hope to be able to have nice land right outside my back door for my dogs. Beautiful!

Yeah, I know a lot of people think she's naked and boneless, but to me she is ideal. I hope I'll be able to find another like her when I am ready, in looks and temperament. There are a couple things I'd alter slightly about her if I were being ultra picky, but all in all, she is perfection for me. Considering that she was a but if a fluke for me, I definitely lucked out. But I am sure there are others out there similar, it's just a matter if looking and finding what you like. :)

Haha, your last sentence is totally true! Sadly enough. There are many nice ones too, but so many are just completely overdone and not very Aussie for my liking. There needs to be more Journeys and Cohens.

I adore Journey she is beautiful and just looks like such a fun dog. I'm also a fan of black bi aussies, neat looking dogs.
