Atlas came home with me on Friday, and he has been an angel so far. Sleeps through the night in his crate without a peep or an accident, goes potty right when I put him outside, and plays wonderfully with Fable. I started teaching him sit, down, and shake, and he is learning the commands pretty quickly. He's also super food and toy driven already, which has been a lot of fun. One of his favorite things to do is clamp down on my ankle whenever I stand up, which I don't find as much fun as he does. He's a handful, but will be a great companion for someone looking for pup with a little more drive and energy (I think he may even do well in agility or disc).

Breed guesses are Lab, Siberian Husky, and GSD, although it's pretty tough to tell when they're this young. He's around 7 or 8 weeks.

I tried to get some photos for his Petfinder page today, which was interesting to say the least. But I got a couple cute ones.

Most of them turned out something like this:

But I got some pretty cute ones as well:

This one shows off his coloring really well. He's a very handsome sable:

And then some snuggly pictures just because they're cute:

Thanks for looking!

Thanks, guys!

Every Saturday at the rescue most of the adult dogs go to an adoption event at the nearby Petsmart, so that is when the puppies go back to the actual shelter to get adopted. It's just less commotion and less chance of the puppies being exposed to disease when it's done that way. So hopefully he'll find his home this Saturday. Although whenever large breed puppies go up for adoption, people generally start congregating at the door of the rescue before they even open, so I'm certain he'll find a good home this weekend.
