That's how I feel!

I am an ADULT, I decide what I want to eat... and if the movie theater gets rid of concession stands I will just sneak it in, LOL!

I agree! It wouldn't feel like I'm at the movies if I don't have that popcorn smell when I first walk in.

Im confused LOL (surprise, surprise ;))

who said that?
A new study came out saying how bad movie theater concessions are... what you consume at the movies is worse then three quarter pounders or something, is the way they put it.

So of course people are saying "get rid of the concession stands..." like all of a sudden people are not going to be overweight anymore because of that!

Im pretty sure the calories I consume once a month or less at the movies are not making a difference... its mostly the junk in my pantry and when the government comes for that... :yikes:

Cookie monster without the *nom nom nom* wouldn't be right! :rofl1:

Actually I think they were going to do that with him but I think there was such an outrage that they decided against it.

When I go to the movies, I sneak in water and healthy snacks. I don't want to eat junk food, and when Mason is old enough to go, we will sneak in healthy snacks for him as well.

haha same here. Brian HATES that fake butter but he knows I love it so he doesn't stop me hahaha.

I always ask them to fill it halfway... squirt some butter and then fill it the rest of the way and squirt it again. I hate getting past the top and realizing the rest of the popcorn is fake butterless :D

Me too!

That's why I don't like the self-serve butter because then you run out when you get past the top layer!

If they get rid of the concession stands, do you realize how much your tickets are going to cost?!?! At least this way you have a choice to spend the extra 10-15 bucks on snacks. If you don't normally spend that extra, you are going to have to make up for it anyway, by paying more for your ticket to make up for the loss of money from concession stands.

And they will have to let people bring in their own snacks...because really...what's a movie without snack food?!?!

Personally I haven't gotten anything from the concession stand for years--I'm too cheap. I'm not paying $8 a ticket then another $10 for popcorn and a coke. I've sneaked stuff in for years. I got it honest though--my mom used to do that when I was a kid. We'd buy a normal sized bag of M&M's at the store before going to the movies--not only was it cheaper, but she then didn't have to deal with a 7 year old bouncing off the walls from downing a theater sized box of candy...

We went to the movies last night. I couldnt have any popcorn cause of my diet :( I am allowed to have it if I count it as one of my carb servings for the day and eat really good before/after but I have only been on it a little over a week and I am not ready to get off track even if i do work it in.

I was just feeling sorry for myself. I wanted some popcorn.
