I'm a chronic saver, Rick's a chronic spender. Are you on one end of the spectrum or in the middle?

SUPER saver. I like having a hefty savings account and I don't really feel the need to have a lot of stuff. Mostly I spend money on experiences. SO is a spender so we kind of balance each other out.

Totally a saver. I don't tend to spend money on things that I don't desperately need, especially if I don't have x amount set aside for a rainy day.

The two biggest purchases in my life, outside of necessities (or things like a car), were Abrams and my new piano. Both times I didn't even bat an eye. But I still haven't bought new clothes because I'm too cheap to do so. Lol

I have a hard time resisting dog stuff (and when you have 4 of them, it's very easy to find a way to justify pretty much everything), but overall I'm a saver. I don't really have a lot of "wants," outside of dog stuff, so that helps.

I'm a spender, and I'm trying to change it. I think that I was broke for so long that I got used to having to spend everything on necessities, and then when I started earning more than just enough to scrape by, I didn't even think about saving because it wasn't already a habit. I'm trying really hard to set money aside every single pay check and change my bad habits.

This sounds almost exactly like my spending habits. It's hard for me to save because I'm so used to living paycheck to paycheck that I'm only concerned about being able to cover the expenses until I make it to the next paycheck. I also have a serious lack of self discipline when it comes to not impulse buying things I want, not necessarily things that I need.

Me lol. I entirely have a problem with dog things, but that's because I always find SUCH good deals. See? Justification at it's finest. But even that I go through my phases.

But almost everything else, I'm not a big spender. I do eat out far too often so I definitely spend too much money on food.

But I'm not like a SUPER saver either. I think I'm *somewhat* in the middle, leaning towards saver more than spender.

This is me, everyone thinks I am such a spender because of all of the dog stuff I buy.. fairly frequently. Other than that, I go shopping for myself maybe once or twice a year (black friday/cyber monday always because then I can save money on clothes and such)

I wouldn't say I am a SUPER saver because I am not stingy/cheap. I like high quality, durable items and tend to buy expensive things for this reason and I like things to look sleek/nice. I also fall trap to certain name brand items.

But yeah, dog stuff is my weakness, other than that I only go on a shopping spree for myself 1-2 times a year- mostly for clothes, but I do not overspend and make sure I have enough in savings at all times.

Definitely a saver. Our savings account has to have at least 6 months worth of living expenses covered and extra money gets thrown at the mortgage or paying the car off faster. But that doesn't mean that we are not the occasional splurgers. That we definitely are, but we're being smart about it.

Totally depends. If I have something I'm saving for, or if I know that I won't be earning alot of money one month, I'm a saver. I'm usually saving for something though, so I'm definatly more a saver than a spender. I'm extremly good at saving money if I want to be.

If I have alot of money to spend and nothing I'm saving up for... well - there goes my money. Though I do tend to buy higher quality things when I have the money for it, because it will save me money in the long run.

We save to spend... after necessities (mortgage, electric bill) and our weekly budget (gas, food); a certain amount of each paycheck is set aside for various funds - vacation, emergencies, gifts, another car (hopefully before one of our old cars dies entirely) and Riley actually gets an allowance, which goes to dog stuff. It means less in the checking account but that curbs frivolous spending. :)

A saver. I don't mind spending on things I see as worth it if I have the money - but very little seems "worth it" to me. Things I'm willing to spend on are mainly experiences (concerts, a massage, etc), travel (but even if I had the money I can't imagine choosing to fly coach, a more expensive hotel, etc), and quality clothes that will last a long time. I'm the type of person that rarely gets coffee out as I think it's a waste of money, cuts my toothpaste tube to get the last bit out, despises wasting money on things that aren't reusable....but I'll also pay $200 over $50 for a pair of shoes I know will last.

Both. I have to have a savings and I like to save but I also spend.

I could never be one of those extreme cheapskate people but I do cheap out on some things. I would never get my nails done and I used to spend 200/cut at a salon I loved and am lucky to get my hair cut twice a year now.

I do splurge on purses. Lovely leather purses. Horse stuff. Things to invest in the house and property.

Saver.

It's nice, except one of the areas my anxiety will sometimes manifest is extreme anxiety about spending money. :|
Me too. "Julee, you need new shoes/clothes/razors/etc" SHUT UP SHUT UP SHUT UP. I'm trying to work on it, was getting better... And then my mom left and now I'm even more anxious because I make the most in my household and don't want to not have money if I need to cover more bills than I'm currently doing :/

I'd like to be a saver. Every time I get something decent saved, **** comes up.

The SO is super good at the whole saving thing. I think part of my problem was I just always made enough to just scrape by. no extras.

Yep. This is so me.

I tend to be a saver. The majority of the time. I've had other tell me that I need to start spending money on myself, especially clothing-wise. Here and there it will happen, but I tend to not spend much of what I've earned, or have got.

But, when it comes to cat-related items... Not so much. (And, I assume, it'd be even worse if I had a dog.)

Yeah, this. And I like buying stuff for other people. :p

If I want something I usually wait a whole month and then if I still want it I usually don't get it. ;)
