I really don't know why, but there are certain breeds of dogs my lab mix just doesn't get along with, no matter the individual dog's personality. (My AmStaff loves all dogs).

Jesse can't stand:
Chows
Shepherds
Beagles

But she always gets along with pugs. Hmm. I wonder why.

Lucas doesn't like rotties, mini poodles, or miniature schnauzers. There is a rottie down the road that always tries to kill him, an any other dog for that matter. Needless to say I don't walk him near that dog, but he still doesn't like Rotties all that much. Also on walks when I first got him these poodles and schnauzer pack got out of their house (there where teens 'doggysitting' them) and tried to bit Lucas all up and down. Luckily they couldn't reach much lol :p, but it scared Lucas to death.

Phoebe loves all dogs, all sizes too and is just at home playing with her Newfoundland friend as she is playing with a Yorkie. She is scared of Giant Schnauzers and German Shepherds though, as both those breeds have been aggressive with her. If we see any she just gives them a wide berth.

She gets on without exception with every Boxer we meet, and has the most fun at French Bulldog gatherings, as they all tend to play in the same way, which would go for any breed playing with 'their own' I suppose.

Lucy (saluki mix) doesn't like any dogs that are very much bigger than she is. Abby (mutt) loves everyone. Rudy (GSD) doesn't like most other dogs.

I haven't noticed a breed specific resentment yet, but I have noticed that Riot thinks hes a Sheltie and is quite biased to them at shows lol I have noticed that he gets really P.Oed with dogs that jump up in his face and wont stop, he'll snarl at them.

He jumped in one Sheltie puppy while we were waiting for our class because he thought it was Jada(our female Sheltie) lol it looked literally identical to her lol Thankfully the other pup just wheeled around and started playing with him and the owner didn't mind lol
