Are there any dog breeds you find ugly/dislike the look of?

True Romy that there is a huge difference depending on how they're groomed, but I'm still not a fan of either Bichon. It's weird, I can't even describe it well, I just don't like their heads/faces. I'm less 'bothered' by the Bouviers and Schnauzers but they still just aren't my type. As far as the Poodles, again I don't like the shape of their head. Clearly I'm particular about heads, which I never realized before!
Okay Romy, I was going to say I don't like Shar Peis, except for a few at work, but the few at work that I like are the bone mouth types. The meat mouth, I don't like.
Odd. I really do like the bone mouth type of pei though. Very interesting and I learned something. Also, we have a bearcoat pei, but we all thought he was a shar pei mix, including his owner

This is why I don't think I'd really like a boxer from a breeder. And the health issues, ugh. I think boxers are flipping ADORABLE but I don't do slobber or snorting. Gavroche is very un-boxer-like (and really I still think he's at least mixed with American Bulldog). He doesn't snore or snort, he doesn't drool. But he does have one seriously ****ed up bite.
Anyway, I don't think there's any breeds as a whole that make me want to gouge my eyes out, but there are traits I don't like and breeds that tend to just be "meh" at best.
I'm not a fan of the way labs look, with some exceptions. Sometimes I do find a very nice lab that I'd actually love to own.
I don't like English bulldogs. And probably at least 90% of EB breeders. It seems like everyone and their mother are breeding EBs to make a quick buck. They have wayyyyy undershot bites, are stinky and snorty and stinky and drooly and stinky and FAT and stinky. There is ONE bulldog at work that I like. He's clean, not fat, and not crazy wrinkly and crap.
I'm not a fan of most GSDs, though there are some well-bred ones that I do like.
I don't care for yorkies at all, and actually most small dogs I'm not a fan of. I don't like toy or mini poodles, though I LOVE the looks of the standard poodle (but not in show coat). I don't like dogs that have so much hair you can't tell that it has a head, let alone eyes. I don't like most brachycephalic breeds, though some are worse than others - such as pugs and pekes. I don't like most chihuahuas, though there are some cute ones. i don't like dogs that look like their eyes are going to pop out of you squeeze them a but too hard.
I prefer smooth or wiry coats - I'm not a fan of most long haired dogs, though there are exceptions.
I honestly wasn't a fan of the look of collies - especially smooth collies - but it kind of grew on me lol. I think smoothies in particular are gorgeous now, but it was an acquired taste. I don't like the look of border collies, except for the smoothies. That's that hair thing again.
I like cresteds, but other hairless dogs don't appeal to me. Though I LOVE hairless cats! I didn't used to like cresteds, either, but they also grew on me, and I would own one now.
I don't like cropped ears except for in dobes and min pins. They look funny to me when they're uncropped.
Not a fan of the looks of pembrokes, but I love cardigans (and it really, REALLY annoys me when someone says "welsh corgi" and doesn't specify if it's a cardigan or a pembroke...the receptionist at work wants a corgi and I asked her what kind and she says "Welsh" ugh, NO, tell me WHAT KIND).
I didn't used to like doxies, but they've kind of grown on me too. I don't like the long hair doxies much, though. And I don't like the black and tan much.

I'm not sure how much of what I don't like in looks relates to my knowledge of issues that look tends to produce. Like most, my first thought was the brachy dogs; but how much of that is because I know the health issues (and lord, the noises!) that come from that? I could never live with it - but how 'ugly' is it to me? Not sure.
The dogs I find unattractive tend to be the ones that don't look healthy. Some breeds and types produce a lot more of them than others. But you show me a fit, clean, athletic anything, and I tend to appreciate the looks.

I've seen a lot of fugly boxers and I don't understand it! I look at the boxer rescue website all the time and most of them on there... are just not cute. My brother has an ugly boxer--but she'd probably look cuter if she didn't have such an extreme underbite.
I may be biased () but I think Juno turned into a pretty decent looking boxer. She's not show quality, and her breeder does not show so who knows how her parents would stack up... but maybe that's not such a bad thing.

I know a champion Boxer, named Knight Shadow, who is super handsome. He has perfectly cropped ears and he's just a nicely put together dog, and also such a gentleman. I would steal him.
But my fave Boxers are like Gavroche. There's one, Jakey, who looks exactly like him except for having a blue eye. I forgot to mention, I don't like breeds whose fur obscures their eyes and expression. I always find myself being much more cautious around them, as I cannot read them, nor can other dogs. Doodles especially make me nervous.

Most golden retrieves too. something about them i do not care for their looks. there is some that i look at and go wow that dog is beutiful, but not many enough to count on 2 hands, and I groom tons of them a week.

This is me completely - I love dogs and even if I don't care for their body style, etc., I love to see a well-bred, healthy, happy dog - from Mastiff to Chihuahua, to Wolfhounds and, of course, Dachshunds.
I think the only thing about dogs that bugs me about dogs, is when you get one very badly proportioned to the extent it's maybe even in pain from bad breeding.

Psh... Harleigh is very cute!!! Most of the Labs I see (well, most dogs) are also not well cared for, are very overweight and have joint/structural issues because of that. A dog who is in really good shape and is super well cared for is instantly much more attractive to me. Harleigh is also a giant, Daney Lab which makes her special. She has a nice head and expression. I am not a fan of shrunken, snippy heads in any breed.

Ugh - most Labs around here are like what you mentioned. They are like fat sausages walking around, I really don't see how their owners think they look "fine" when they are obviously so overweight! Then they say, "they look just like the show Labs on TV". LOL, I'm sorry there is a difference in bone and plain fat.
I'm not a fan of most purely field lines - the heads just don't look right to me. I love some of them, but most of the ones I see their heads are far to small or long for their body! Obviously there are some fantastic looking field Labs out there, but I like a mix of the lines, I guess - not an overly done Lab, but not a Lab bred solely for performance... KWIM?
Anything hairless, with a smooshed/flat face, cropped ears, or a dome head gives me the heebie jeebies--it just looks so unnatural. Bearded dogs don't do it for me either (their mouths always look so dirty to me). I'm also not a fan of a wiry coat...I like to cuddle something soft and fluffy.
I've known and liked dogs with all of the above traits based on their personalities, but don't find them visually attractive. To each and all their own though. Nothing wrong with that!

Izzie is sad that she's ugly... She'll go hide in her ugly corner now. She can't help that she was hit with the ugly stick and that she is repulsive to everyone, she is sincerely sorry that she pollutes chaz with her ugly ugly mug. Lol.
I don't like Boxers, at all. Most are gross to me. Labs are just not my cup of tea, neither are most setters. Hairless dogs creep me out, i hate having to touch them. Most chihuahuas here (as in my city) are just weird looking, like their necks are being squeezed so hard their eyes are inflating and gonna pop out. Hounds with lots of droopy droopy skin look like they'd smell, same with mastiffs. Doodles are just weird to me, their fur is like weird and random and they all just look wonky to me.
ETA: I'm joking about that first bit BTW... Y'all won't be able to escape hideous Izzie pictures ever.

Ugly dogs? Dandee Dinmonts are the ugliest dogs EVER! Badly put together out of spare parts left over from assembling other kinds of dogs. Yech.
