I can't get my Firefox browser to work and it's driving me nuts...IE is so freaking slow. Also, Firefox has all of my passwords saved for my bills and now I can't remember my IDs....

:mad::confused:

I keep getting "Firefox can't establish a connection..."

My firewall is allowing the program.

My McAfee won't tell me what programs it's blocking.

I haven't messed with anything....

I HATE IE.

Help anyone??

You didn't accidentally set up a proxy server, did you? Tools - Options - Advanced - Network - Settings. Also make sure that "Work Offline" isn't checked.

Also, saving your passwords to your bill pay sites in your browser is like leaving the keys in the ignition of your unlocked car. Just sayin' ;)

mine is working just fine. The last time we had issues with viri it was with Mcafee. Maybe try a scan with something different?

The only network setting checked is "use system proxy settings"

I mis-typed - the only passwords I have saved are my forum passwords. :)

OK, so what about a firewall within Macafee? You said that "your firewall is allowing the program", but is that Windows Firewall or Macafee firewall? See if you can turn them both off briefly and if that works, you know it's one of them. Then turn on just Windows Firewall and try again. If that works, you know it's Macafee's firewall and you need to work out an exception for FF in that.

Clear as mud?

My Windows firewall is allowing it. Unfortunately, whenever I try to open up my McAfee settings...they never appear. So I'm going to assume that it's an issue with McAfee, and continue to struggle to get the stupid menu to open so I can allow Firefox.

Thanks Eddie. :)
