Anybody know what this could be?

Hello,
I have had a red rash on my face for over 3 weeks now, it is very swollen in spots,causing pain, and very dry.
It is not spreading. I went to the pharmacy and the pharmacist said it most likely was poison oak, so we bought this poison oak soap (burts bees) and it got better a little then came back, it is not itching.
We called the doctor and told them my sypmtoms and they said none of there doctors could see me that day, because they were so busy, they told us to keep washing it and by this domeboro astringent and we did, it didn't help. We also tried this stuff called tecnu (gel).
ANY suggestions are greatly appreciated!

Thanks everyone! I think it is cercarial dermatitis. I have been doing what it says to treat it.

Could be many things
Localized hives, shingles, some type of allergic reaction, exzema.
If nothing else try some gel or lotion that has tar in it. Sounds strange but it works for a multitude of things.
I have used it in the past for my psoriasis.
