Well, it was great while it lasted, but after 2 weeks of living in a tent, I've returned to comforts of home, wife, children and small zoo.

This year I spent a few days along the shores of Lake Superior and a week in Algonquin Provincial Park. In spite of the fact the fall colour is beautiful in Algonquin, I think I preferred Pukaskwa National Park for the solitude I could get there. Had I not been meeting a friend in Algonquin, I'd have happily stayed in Pukaskwa for the entire time.

Having said that, here's some of the trip vitals:
Parks visited
-Lake Superior Provincial Park (Wawa, ON)
-Pukaskwa National Park (Marathon, ON)
-Killbear Provincial Park (Parry Sound, ON)
-Algonquin Provincial Park (including Ragged Falls PP - Huntsville, ON)

Distance, including all side-trips
-4200 km

Weather
-2 days (including a couple of half-days) of sun
-1 day that started as snow and ended in rain
-1 day of sleet that ended in rain
-10 days of rain

Wildlife seen (of the large-ish variety)
-1 timber wolf
-4 black bear
-12 moose
-8 deer

And here's a couple of shots from Pukaskwa to start with

Sunset:

Gorgeous as always. I really like the sunset pic. There's something soothing about the water.

Thank you for the comments! :)

Of course, I woke up this morning and the sun is out and shining today . Ah well.

The kids are now making noises about going fall camping, so I may just have to load them up and go to one of the slightly more local parks in the next couple of weekends now :D
