That's not the AKC. Its the FCI. Dangit, and you got me all worked up that I was going to be able to come in and do some AKC-bashing. ;)

Well that was stupid on the part of the CKC...they just shot themselves in the foot so to speak. The FCI is huge...

One should read up on the entire issue.

The Canadian Kennel Club is working desperately to rectify this situation. Somehow there was a gross lapse in communication between the 2 entities.

The CKC does NOT want to lose their FCI recognition. This is being addressed at this time by the CKC as best they can. Loss of FCI recognition means that no CKC registered dog can be exported and registered with FCI countries, that CKC judges can no longer be hired to judge any international events.

It is a BIG DEAL. I feel pretty confident that it will be worked out between the 2 bodies, but it is not something the CKC wanted, or even realized was happening.

It has NOTHING WHAT SO EVER to do with the American Kennel Club.

Once again, you said things wonderfully. ;)

I love how the AKC gets brought in to be bashed for things it didn't even have a thing to do with. Haha... just messing with you all.

I'm sure CKC will fix it, they will want to for sure.
