Thanks for the replies. The vet said if I spay her before the 1st season, she "may" have trouble holding herself when she wants the loo. Result would be she'd dribble without thinking. I dont know if it's true or not.

Teach him the come command until he / she really knows what it means and come back 100% of the time. Then take him off the lead.
