    Lure coursing Cardigan puppies

Funny thing is, a big reason I'm keeping SheDaisy is not only is her disposition most suited for my family, and what I wanted in a pup (She wasn't my conformation pick), but also she is very much her fathers twin in body, but with a better chest drop. I would like a better croup on both of them...

For those that like to look at eval photos, here are photos from the 8wk eval on the litter: http://www.flickr.com/photos/beautifulwolf/sets/72157632377696551/ Sadly I didn't have stacking help for Keeva's litter, so no good photos of them at 8 weeks, since my then 6yo daughter too Keeva's...

    Lure coursing Cardigan puppies

My facebook is the studio page, http://www.facebook.com/DreamEyceStudio but I don't talk about litters there since I do a lot of rescue volunteer work, and shelter/rescue photography and you know how rescue-only people can be about breeding. If I have another litter, it won't be till one of...

    Lure coursing Cardigan puppies

I was so happy they took to it so well! Some of these babies, like LoKee, don't seem all too drivey in every day life, but when given this opportunity to shine she did! She is in a local pet home, and her owner is interested in doing lure coursing, and possibly other sports with her. That'll be...

    Lure coursing Cardigan puppies

Just note that you can have an unsound leggy Cardigan, and a very sound short Cardigan. The length of leg isn't what you're looking at while evaluating soundness. That being said, looks-wise, I prefer leggier dogs over the real short dogs. But I also don't want TOO leggy, either!

    Lure coursing Cardigan puppies

Thanks! I hope I do well. Keeva's litter was my first, and 2 are already titled. Others are working towards titles. Her brother was #8 UKC in breed for '11, with a competitive BPIS win and showed at Premier. These are full siblings to Keeva, I re-bred in hopes of a really nice pick girl to move...

    Lure coursing Cardigan puppies

Thanks! I love drivey Cardigans, who are not fat slugs *G* Mama Galaxy herds, is a service dog, does volunteer lost dog search work (with multiple successful finds!), nosework, lure courses, and we've successfully done agility and obedience matches. She is one win away from her IABCA...

    Lure coursing Cardigan puppies

Funny thing is, LoKee was most into it. She's normally the 'quiet one', but apparently like her big brother Bernie, she fooled me good! *G* She now lives with, and is terrorizing the Doxie that Galaxy had helped find a few months ago, after the car accident where Sasha (The Doxie) was missing...

    Lure coursing Cardigan puppies

I had the privilege of being invited by the owner of Dallas Air Dogs to bring my 9wo Cardigan Welsh Corgi pups (Baby siblings to Keeva!) down to her place to play on the baby lure, and also run some of my adult dogs on the full course. The baby lure is a 20-30 yard simple course, and run slow...

Returning a dog to the breeder - Questions/Rant

This was Junoh, the American Bully Jairi bought in Portland. Off Craigslist, I believe who was put down as a puppy for aggression issues.

Maegan the Cardi's 1st time lure coursing

Thanks! I can't wait to get to CAT trials. My Poms also love coursing, so it'd be fun to title everyone :) Who'd have thought that with as much as we spend on toys, that a baggy in a field would be such a hit? Like children on christmas with their boxes! LOL

Chekhov looks familiar to me, is he Canadian?? Nice to see Cardigans taking over on here!

Maegan the Cardi's 1st time lure coursing

We took Maegan (Keevas's sister, down in Texas) to a lure course fun run/CAT practice to benefit Basenji rescue and she had a BLAST! I never would have expected this as Maegan is not really toy-driven and tends to be pretty low-key (Compared to her 'wild child' sister, Keeva!) Instead of being...

    It's official...

    SAR corgis?

Finding a suitable breed for your needs is common sense period. What I commented on though is the flat out "Such and such breed can not work" commentary I see often on breeds not often see working. Since you have to live with a dog you work with, finding a dog you will enjoy living with *and*...
