    Parvo! Advice needed.

Thank-you for your advice. It really is an ordeal to go through! We just gave him some Esbilac milk replacer and he lapped that right up. We also cooked some lean ground beef and he ate a little of that and drank some water. We are just praying he keeps it down. I've read about the Parvaid...

    Parvo! Advice needed.

Sorry if this is long, but I want to get all the details in because I am worried! My husband and I adopted a puppy from a rescue on Saturday and by Sunday he became sick and was diagnosed with parvo. He spent about 24 hours at the animal hospital, then the vet called and said he is doing...

    Calcium supplements

I was wondering...I've been reading lately how cow's milk is actually bad for humans because, along with all the hormones and steroids that they inject in cows, the milk proteins actually leech calcium from your bones. What is your opionion on this? The articles I've read on this are very...

    Calcium supplements

calcium Typically a woman needs about 1000 - 1200 mg of calcium a day. I hate milk too so I just take a supplement in pill form. The chewies and even tums work just as well though. Read the label and it will tell you how many to take a day (usually 2). One cup of calcium fortified OJ has as...

Scariest movie you have *ever* seen?

All the SAW movies were very disturbing and gross, but also kind of thought provoking. Hostel was also disturbing and gross, but I though it was great how the good guy actually got out in the end.

Yes, I know the feeling. It's so hard to keep your mouth shut sometimes, but it feels so good coming out the better person in the end though.

Scariest movie you have *ever* seen?

I'll have to say "The Ring". So many people thought that was such a lame movie, but it scared the bejesus out of me. It was that creepy little girl that did it. I literally slept with my light on for years after watching that. Still today, everytime a TV goes fuzzy I get scared. Also, "The...

    Can you say b!otch???????

Yes I can say B!otch! You've brought me out of lurking mode to respond to this post! I'm not in the medical field, but I work as a nutritionist in a public health setting that provides our clients with a great service and saves them lots of money(well, in my opinion at least). Some of these...

    Worried....

Our puppy is about 4 1/2 mos old. So far she has been very good and seems to have a great temperament. We gave her a bully stick this week and she loves to chew it. Anyways, when I think she's had enough I will go up to her and tell her to "give". She usually gives it up without a fight. Tonight...

    Donner Kebab

good stuff... [/IMG] This is beer food over here in the US. If anyone is from Pittsburgh they'll recognize the famous Primanti Bros. sandwich! I wish I could get a bigger picture. Basically it's meat, fries, and coleslaw piled onto bread. Mmmmm, I'm hungry now.

at what age can you wash your puppy?

Puppy bath We brought our puppy home at 8 weeks and one of the first things we did was give her a bath in the kitchen sink. Just make sure you dry the puppy off well and keep it warm so it doesn't get sick.

How much should puppy be walked?

Thanks for your responses! She is a pitbull mix but seems very small for her age, according to the vet. We don't know what she is mixed with. Anyways, we walk her close to us and don't really let her wander. We're working on the loose leash and she is doing okay. Our walks are solid walking and...
