why do my dogs have fleas when they're on frontline?

Ok I asked 2 vets about this and the fleas have to bite the animal before they die, because my dogs also still had fleas getting on them.

    Yucky Wart... Or What?

Yes I would defintetely take him to see the vet and keep in mind that not only will salt get stuck in the hair of their feet, but it can also burn their feet too. So it is probably best to try hard to avoid the salted paths anyway, I know easier said than done huh! :)

    Shaking and Panting???

I would have a vet look at your dog even if it does even seem to subside when your uncle leaves. Sometimes there can be something wrong medically that can conveniently happen at a time when it can get misread as something else not so worrisome. I am definetely hoping that it IS nothing, but if I...

So looks like I'm not going to foster..

Ya I applied at several rescues until I got approved by two and even they took a while. The one rescue I actually met the lady on another forum (which she so happens to be the administrater), so I asked her why I didn't hear back and here her computer broke down and she lost all of her previous...

    How Many Have Rescued

I rescued a dog that the owner said was untrainable and they were going to take him to the shelter.

    Spaying an older dog

I agree that I would make sure she is healthy before getting it done, and she should be absolutely fine! I know dogs that got put in the shelter much older that have gone through the spay surgery just fine!! :) To reassure yourself and your mother just ask the vet their opinion. I look up to...

What do they look for in home visits..

Thank you for your input! I have been pondering on where I am going to keep the foster when I am not home and absolutely cannot take them and at night. My puppies are crate trained but the longest they stay in them is overnight, during the day they are rarely ever put in them. I am weary of...

What do they look for in home visits..

Hello, after filling out an app to foster I got the call that they want to schedule a home visit within this week or beginning of next. Can anyone tell me what I may be looking forward to when they come? Thank you!

    Coyotes

I went to Penn State and took some Wildlife Tech, and one of my projects was done on coyotes. They are VERY smart animals, even though there are things out there to keep them away it does not take them long to figure out that its not a real threat. I am not saying that they will eat your...

I need to teach Giselle to stop barking

I completely agree with all "It's Me or the Dog" fans out there, Victoria does a lot of work with dogs that bark way too much. Check out the website for the show and maybe you can find the past episodes and clips of these particular dogs :).

    HELP!!! Bad dog ediquette

Maybe try redirecting his attention around her somehow, I agree with Maura sometimes dogs "hump" to show dominance. Which is why you may at times see female dogs do this also. So it is very possible that he just needs to know that she is a temporary member of YOUR pack and his behavior is not...

    Where does your dog sleep?

Unfortunately all my babes sleep in a crate at night cause my fiance's doberman has bladder control issues but for some reason only when lying on soft areas (and believe me when we are not in the room the couches become fair game to her lol), and well my girls are just pups :)

    Wounds!

Ok so I just gave my girls baths and what felt like clumps of dirt on my sheltie puppy's skin is actually lots of wounds!! All around her head and neck, the poor thing has such thick hair I couldn't tell what they were until I got her wet. I'm not sure but I think they are from my other puppy...
