Yay Texas has joined a few other states in saying NO to more refugees! FINALLY our governor does something right! Now, if we can kick out the ones already here, that would be great.

Also, WTF, Mr. "president", not going to help France (one of our oldest allies) out or what? Coward, sorry excuse for a human being, I didnt think it was possible for me to hate that man anymore than I already do but ... OH imagine that, now I do. :wall:
Is this real life?

You have GOT to be effing kidding me, right? The USA has barely accepted ANY refugees from Syria compared to Turkey, or Germany. My city (it's a small city) alone has more refugees living in it, than the USA has taken in as a country.
These people - humans, just like you, me and everyone else on this earth, are fleeing attaks like the one in Paris happening on a regular basis. They are fleeing violence to protect their lives, their childrens lives. Pretty sure they'd rather stay at home and not have their country distroyed. And now you - and many states in the USA- land of the free, and what not else, a country based on FREEDOM is telling people who are fleeing injustice, violence and the exact opposite of freedom, they cannot be taken in, because there may be terrorists in their midst? Thats a load of crap. Seriously. Most of the terrorists are probably already in the USA - or they will enter legally.

Please, don't penalize innocent humans for the violence of others.
Especially since the USA has taken in like 2500 Refugees from Syria. You know how many refugees my City, population 200,000 has taken in? About 20,000 THIS YEAR. And guess what? Nothing has happened. Except that the population has come together in helping these people, and there are flags everywhere saying Refugees Welcome.

End of September/beginning of October we changed the work schedule around, so I went from working 3 days/week instead of 2 days/week. We did this because the other employee was finding it hard to work 5 days/week.

I was happy about it, because yay more hours. I guess we're meant to be sticking with this new schedule through December, and then we'll see how it's working and make changes if need be.

My last 2 days off, said other employee has tried to call me in. I had taken her Friday shift because of a family emergency, she said she'd do Saturday (my normal shift) and Sunday (her normal shift). She tried to call me in Sunday, and then today.

I just feel like I'm working 3 days a week, and then on call for 4. Which, besides being exhausting and unfair, is difficult because I share a car. While my boyfriend has been amazingly understanding, I know it makes it more difficult for him to just find out that morning that he has to leave earlier than planned and drop me off first. I have no problem working more days a week -- just need to not know about it that morning.

Thinking I should mention somebody to the owner, but ugh. Wish she would just put me 4 days a week instead, because I *can* do it, and wouldn't try to call other employee in every week. I didn't even answer the phone when she called this morning, and I'm sure the owner will mention it tomorrow.

DD ..isn't your boyfriend Mexican?
LOL Yes, but he immigrated to this country legally, he wasnt a refugee, LOL. He went through the process and became a citizen, he pays taxes and is NOT in any kind of state aid.

Forgive me, but as long as we have ONE homeless family, or veteran in America, then we need to take care of our own before we help anyone else.

I also find it funny that most of the "refugees" are men, not women and kids, and when they get here, they have the gall to complain about their accommodations and the food they are served. Sorry but if someone gives me "free" ( I say it in quotes because I AM paying for it) food and a place to live, I am not going to complain about it.

America's economy is failing, the last thing we need is MORE people putting strain on it.

If you want them so bad, they can go live in your state because we dont want them here, not after what happened in France.
