So, what dog/animal related groups do you participate in on Facebook? Any you recommend (or don't!)?

Tricks & Training: A++ Would recommend. Only the best people of course.
Canine Breeder Evaluations: A for interesting, D for drama :p.
Chaz Addicts: A++ Would recommend ;)
Dog Food Nerds of Facebook: Good group! Lots of chazzers and pretty good discussion sometimes.
Learning to Show Dogs: The admins are crazy on here. Don't bother posting an original post it has a 9/10 chance of getting deleted. A for good info, F for nazi admins.
No, it's not starving - dedicated to fit, healthy dogs!: I like this group but it is pretty diverse and some of the people are cray cray.
Ring Thoughts
Australian Cattle Dog Breeder's Group
Balanced Obedience
Northeast Dog Sports Seminars/Events
United Kennel Club (UKC) Members
+R Competition Obedience & Rally-O
Lure Coursing for non-sighthounds (AKC and UKC).
ACD Breeder Discussion Group

Also on a super secret Connecticut Dog Hiking group :p. A+

I'm on too many.

Besides two local pet ones and two personal family groups....

Service Dog for Invisible Disabilties
AussiesBigAndSmall
It's All About Aussies
Pedigree Dogs Exposed
Hiking With Dog
Beyond Cesar Milan
Fact or Fiction: Uncensored Opinions of Breeders
The Raw Feeding Community
Service Dog UNCENSORED
DOG IN PHOTOGRAPHY

These ones I look at most, above.

I'm also in a lot of Guinea Pig groups. Then some other animal groups. Then some I don't ever look in and now think I'll leave.

It's been a hit or miss with me in groups. Lots of people going at me for dying Chomper in photography based groups.

ES Related
English Shepherd Society - one of my absolutely favorite groups
Northeast ES group - I started it, so I'm going to call this one a great group
A few different ES breeder groups
A few groups for various ES breeders
English Shepherd Re-Homes - Good group. Lot of people I "know"
Eastern ES group
English Shepherd Working Farm Dog - A lot of good info for people that are using their ES for farm work

Dog General
Tricks & Training - Great group. Love them and the links and helpful suggestions
Dog Gear Nerds - Fun, sometimes have useful stuff
Dog Food Nerds - Good info
Best Kennel Set Up & Design
Paco Social Club - pretty pictures
Dog Hikes - Good group. We go on hikes
Chaz Addicts - Good group. Kind of crazy. Probably not the best group to be involved in. they tend to make you think that bad ideas are good ideas

Tricks & Training Definitely recommend. Holy crap there's over 1000 people in it! But it's still maintaining as an excellent group, very helpful, very civil.

Chaz Addicts Recommended of course

Hiking with Dogs Love getting to see pretty dog-friendly places from all over the world (mostly North America)

Kelpies Nice closed group to spam with Rigby pictures without the rest of my Facebook friends getting annoyed :p

ee red Border Collies Interesting group. Most of the ee reds are very coaty show BCs.

No it's not starving, dedicated to fit healthy dogs! I feel kinda left out because my dogs aren't super-muscled pit bulls ;). But neat group nonetheless

Dog Gear Nerds Just in case I ever have the money to buy nice stuff

Unusual Animal Genetics Fun for seeing the abnormalities of the animal world

And a few local buy/sell ones.

I have left Fearful Dogs, because it was by a woman that basically enforced that things be done her way or not at all. It wasn't really open to others helping out, and they eventually wanted you to take a seminar before joining.

Seriously, I'm in 200+ groups. All but probably 10 are animal related, mostly dog.

Do you need an invite to get into the Kelpie group? Gwen is a mix but it would be nice to find a breed specific group

I'm not a big facebook group person but I do participate in both my trainers' dog groups. Mostly to keep up with seminars and such and get pics I take to other people.

I've joined quite a few but never post.

Structure in motion- did not know it was a BC only group lol.
Papillon dog lovers
Border collie appreciation group
I think I'm on a sheltie lovers
Tricks and Training
Canine Strength and Conditioning
Fact or Fiction- like 99% border collies it seems

Yeah I never post. I don't even really read them either.

Holy cow. I can barely keep up with Facebook as it is, and I keep several groups off my newfeed so it doesn't get too swamped.

For dog ones, I'm in Northeast Agility Seminars, our local agility club's, a little private training group...and that's it. Oh, and one for a breeder I have some interest in.

I poke my head in a few others when they come up on my feed, but most of them haven't really piqued my interest. I tend to see posts, spend a day or two thinking about them, and then when I feel I actually have something to say - it's buried a mile down the page. Groups don't work so well that way!

No invite needed, just a possible bit of a wait for approval. :)
This is the closed one https://www.facebook.com/groups/65415021696/
Pretty well everyone is welcome, there were just a pile of spammers and a few problem causers that they're keeping out by having a closed group.

No, it's not starving - dedicated to fit, healthy dogs!
Ovary Sparing Spay and Vasectomy Info Group
Minnesota Disc Dog Club
Dog Food Nerds of Facebook
Observation Skills for Training Dogs
Disc Dog Events North America

I don't even know why I'm on the observation skills or fit dog groups, because I pretty much just scroll right on by anything in my feed from them.
I'm not really one to participate much in groups but sometimes they can be fun to read, I just hate getting so many notifications from them! (But I don't want to turn notifications off because... then I'd never look at them. First world problem.)
