Hank's Paco came in today! So surprised at how FAST it came. I ordered it after cyber monday.

It's awesome! I love the pattern on him. I'll have to get pics this weekend.

Oooh I can't wait to see it on him! I love Paco! I would get one for my dogs but they are all so fluffy, no one would see it lol
I'm really happy with this one too. I need all the collars now.

He looks really good in it but I might be biased.

I think next one might be the little rocker from Karma.

Not sure why my dogs have to give me a wrestling display every morning. I'm sure they do it for show.

I think I'm finally starting to understand how people stick to one breed. I'm planning to add the next addition when we buy our house and have decided I'd like a gundog and I found a hunting training club too. Hoping to keep the herder & hunter combo going.... And while looking at gundogs I keep going, "but AUSSIE!" LOL.

Oh god you sound exactly like me haha. I will be done with school and we're saving up so that hopefully S/O and I will have a house by then. Mine will also be a serious performance dog!

No idea on breeding yet, besides knowing I will have to import from Australia. Ahhh maybe our puppies can grow up together!

:D
Yeah it would be so cool if we got them around the same time!

When do you graduate? I should be graduating with my MSW July 2016. And then I figure it would take about 6 months to a year to get approved and find a house that matches my criteria and the S/O's criteria. I already have enough saved for the down payment, so don't have to worry about that.

I keep telling myself I could wait on finding a puppy for a few years after getting a house.. (Since I already have two dogs which would be about 7 and 14 years old or so, and the S/O will be wanting to get his flat coated retriever puppy) But I know myself and will probably find one shortly after unless I know of a litter that I would be interested in the u.s. Then I would wait. But I'm assuming we will have 4 dogs for awhile after getting a house lol.

What are you planning on competing in?

It would be really cool if our lives go as planned and this happens for the both of us around the same time!

Lincoln is making it through the night most nights now without needing a potty break, he is 3 1/2 months old. Should I be worried? its not like he is afraid to tell me ... he is DEFINITELY not afraid to raise the alarm if he has to go out. But alas, at 6:30am (just as its getting light outside) he starts whimpering and moving around, not NOT before that. I have never had a puppy (that I can remember) who could make it all the way through til morning without a bathroom break. They stay outside all day until it starts getting dark, than they come inside, they get fed around 9:30-10pm.

I dont mind taking him out if he needs to go out, but what is intriguing to me is that it doesnt seem that he NEEDS to go out during the night. :/

Most puppies that age can hold it. My 9 week old has been sleeping for 7+ hours through the night since he came home last week. We go to bed after last potty around 11 and wake up at 6-7am

Eta- at 9 weeks it's not super common, but it is by 12. Except for special circumstances, I've never had a puppy that old waking me up to potty in the middle of the night. Play and whine and scream maybe, but never because they had to go. Lol

I ordered Gambit a leather collar off of an etsy store I've never used before. It came today, and words can not describe how wonderful it is. I'm trying to take pictures, but he keeps squirming. Bonus? It has coyotes on it!

Walking Wilson today and we are on our way back home from the trail by my house. Some guy's dog starts barking, which concerns Wilson. So I have him sit and start treating for him ignoring the barking and paying attention to me. So then this dog's apparently idiot owner decides to open his door to the street and let his dog charge us?!? All while yelling "he just wants to say hi!"

Of course Wilson got so scared he immediately peed all over himself and I put myself between the dog and Wilson and yell at the owner to get his effing dog under control before I kick him, my dog does NOT want to say hi.

Seriously wtf? Like one, don't let your dog charge at other strange dogs and two, why would you open your FRONT DOOR that's right next to a street where there are CARS to let your dog investigate said strange dog? Stupid. Made me want to kick the guy too.

Sometimes I wish GSDs came in slightly more portable sizes.
Someone needs to go down the route of MAS and start breeding smaller GSDs. it would be good for a lot of people that want GSDs and have to live in apartments with size limits and stuff.

Oh yeah and he is a howler, too :p. He also does this thing where he makes this grunting/whining nose that sounds like hyena laughing lol.

He fussed a little bit when I first put him in tonight but not nearly as long as the first time lol.
