We usually write about my friend's dog and her/their stuff, but i thought I could introduce my dog this time :)

So, here is Hertta, born in Juny/2014. Hertta is GSD/Hovawart/Finnish Hound mix. So, Hertta is very energetic, stubborn ans strong-minded. Hertta loves other dogs and people a lot and it seems that she is not afraid of anything - at least now. Is it a good or bad thing, I don't know yet...

With her brother:

With her "best friend":

Just at home.. staring..

Tricks she already knows:

Sit
Lie down
Shake
Roll over
Drop
Stay (When she's very excited, this won't happen :D)

Thank you for your kind answers, nope, didn't hurt a lot as puppies :D I'll probably send some better pics and videos later if interested.. And I can tell you better about her training a.s.o.. Those were some not-so-good-quality pictures taken by telephone. :D

I think the next thing I will teach her is "Fetch" - shouldn't be too difficult for 5 months old. And yes if someone has some ideas so tell me. I can try ;)

I found fetch pretty easy to teach, personally.
Throw a thing, dog chases it and mouths it - you call dog back to you and if they drop the toy on the way back then you walk over to it and try again.

If they successfully bring you the toy, reward them with a treat! At the same time as rewarding, you could say 'Give' and preset your dog to learn a good "give" cue (to give you their toys to play with some more). ;)

Good luck! It's fun. :)

Yes I agree it's fun. Well, I'll tell you when she knows it well. I suppose it won't take a long time since she does it already for example with a ball. The goal is that she would someday do it with her leash, toys, keys... Something I could benefit.. :D Well yes, I'll start with the ball.

Hmh, I got some question about some behavior issue but can't remember it now. Maybe later then...

She is very cute! Is this your first dog? Looks like you guys are having a lot of fun. :)
Not the first one, he was the first one when I still lived with my parents

Rasmus was a dog that carried our shopping bags, opened the doors, knew many tricks and he was very obedient.

And, happy friday everybody :rofl1:

The reason my friend asked me to quote is that she wants to add own comments. (Hopefully it's not too confusing that I'm writing in this thread and then I write with my friend...) This is what she would like to say:

Tricks she already knows:

Stay (When she's very excited, this won't happen :D)
So, I had already managed to teach those tricks to Hertta. I also told that I'm going to teach her to fetch.

Since my dogs had learnt to do those things, my friend thinks that it makes them to seem so smart compared to Lotta. (We had told in other threads that Lotta just acts silly when my friend is trying to train her.)
