You are definitely, definitely not the only one LOL I don't like her very much at all, and I know Linds mentioned being meh about her, too.

I actually didn't even mind her all that much in most of the first season, but I'm just finding her more and more unlikable as the show goes on. If she left the show completely, I would be more than okay with that.
Totally, oh dear, I was hoping maybe she got better not worse after the first season...blah.

Some of the other girls are just so much cooler. Why Laurel?

Yeah! There are a lot of other girls that I really like from the show, but Laurel... I don't like her character/personality, and I don't like (and am wholly uninterested) in her relationships with the rest of the characters on the show.

As a comic book reader (a DC girl to boot) this makes me amused, LOL.
lol well, I definitely doubt that she would actually leave the show, but I hope she doesn't have as big of a part as she does in the comics. I don't read comics but I know the general gist of the story just from random Google searching and Wiki'ing. That again is probably not going to happen... bleh. Just so not a fan.

It just made me laugh hahaha. Ollie and his story isn't obviously a well known one like Superman or anything, so it's a little more fun and unpredictable for the general public than, say... Smallville. Like nobody watched Smallville and thought Clark would end up with Chloe or anything. It's kind of cool actually. Being a comic book reader spoils an awful lot of superhero TV and movies LOL. I try and keep them separate... like I feel like movie Loki is not the same as comic book Loki and I'm okay with viewing them as slightly different personalities. But at the same time you know there are certain things that are (or at least should be) a given... so it takes some of the "surprise" out of it. You guys should enjoy it as non-comic book readers!

But if you don't like Laurel, well, I have bad news LOL.

Oh yeah, I've actually never even heard of the Green Arrow until this show, and I have this bad habit of just Wiki'ing certain parts about a show or book or whatnot and just reading on and spoiling some things here and there for myself. Nothing big with the whole Arrow thing, plus, while I don't like Laurel, she is the one true love/big romantic interest girl and she has a part in the story so I didn't have high hopes. I'm just hoping that they make some changes to her for the better, because I didn't mind her much in the beginning of the show!

I am okay with whatever deviations they want to make from the comics when it comes to Loki, as long as Tom Hiddleston is playing the role :p But yeah, I have heard that they're very different between the comic books and the movie (as is Iron Man, according to my friend?).

Speaking of Arrow though, apparently there's a lot of excitement going on about Harley Quinn being in the next episode? Even if it's probably just a brief glimpse?

Skipping through the thread... Never got into GoT because it's actually the first book series I got totally sick of after the fourth one. I guess if they ever put the episodes on netflix or something I'll have a look, but it's not happening, so...

The Hobbit - I love the movies, but I also made sure not to read the book first... so it really helps, as I have no expectation. I'll read the book as soon as I see the 3rd movie though.

Nobody's mentioned Marvel's Agents of SHIELD, I'm a huge fan of the Marvel studio movies so I guess I geek out on that (I'm so excited about the next Captain America and Guardians of the Galaxies, even if there won't be Loki in them :p). And Dr Who, Sherlock, Supernatural, Firefly, Arrow (count me in the 'don't like Laurel' club, but I just can't get over how weird her face looks).

Whoever mentioned The Blacklist - I love that show too. And Suits... one of the few shows that totally sucked me in after the first episode. I binged watched everything in 2 weeks and I'm finally caught up. It's just awesome.

I like Almost Human a lot too, but I don't think it's going to be renewed unfortunately. And Sleepy Hollow and Grimm are really good too. I watch other things but these are the ones I have to watch right away.

Also, OMG excited for Outlander! They just released another tiny little teaser. Is it summer yet??

Here are the trailers/teasers so far, not the greatest because they're still in beginning stages of filming, so not much material to use, but still, exciiiiitement! :D

Ok I am totally obsessed with Arrow now, I'm all caught up and looking forward to tonight's episode. Linds, I blame this entirely on you, so therefore I think you are obliged to geek out with me.

Also, need to get caught up on GoT, I've only watched the first episode of the new season. So good though! So stoked it's back on.

I started watching both Vikings and Orphan Black and am caught up on the latter. I've also finished the first season of Vikings, and I LOVE both shows! Vikings is really well made and the cast is amazing (love Lagertha). I couldn't stop watching Orphan Black and stayed up all night to finish the first season - how talented is the main actress?!? Wow. Cool plot, too, and love the diversity of characters. Really glad I decided to watch those two shows.

Might watch Downton Abbey next, and the Season 2 of Vikings.

Also I started watching Dr. Who at my roommate's suggestion and, eh. Too weird for me and not very interesting, but I like the girl/main character. Going to try to get past the weird and the cheese and keep watching, so we'll see.

Last couple of GOT episodes have been crazy, just because it's a crazy season and a lot of things happen. Watch them soon!!

And OKAY. HOLY CRAP. Last week's Arrow episode, anyone?!??? It took me completely by surprise and I was so, so upset. I really love this show, though.

Oh, and Laurel is getting better as a character! Plus, how amazing is her dad?

I'm trying! I'm watching an episode every day or two, so that I can take the weird and cheesiness in minimal doses. There are a few things about the show that make me smile, so I think I'm warming up to it?

Also, that's right! American Horror Story. Need to get on that, and even better, it's on Netflix!

Anyone caught up/watching The Blacklist? Because I'm pretty much dying here.

Oh.My.God.

Seriously, could NOT believe last weeks episode!! I was like "No, not gonna happen. He won't. OH MY GOD!" I think I sat there with my mouth hanging open for like a minute. I was really kinda hoping that we might get him back as a good guy but now that's just gone.

Oliver is gonna go INSANE. I'm not looking forward to that spiral.

All I can think though is when Laurel and Thea find out what's going on it's going to get even more ugly.

Grace, I love her dad SO much. He started out just awful but they've done such a good job with his changes. I really want to see what happens when/if he finds out who Arrow is. But sorry, Laurel is still seriously bugging me. She's up, she's down, she's pouty, she's mad and so on. Right this minute she isn't at her most super annoying but I imagine as soon as anything changes she'll be right there again. Which sucks because again, I think she could be a super strong character.

I also can not believe how we're only what? Two years into the Island? And all this has happened? Holy cow, three more years left.

And, I really want Roy there as a good guy. Because I like him but I hate him flipping out every which way.

That last part where he turned around when he commented on her courage? AUGH. I let out a breath of relief but NOPE. That scene was just so intense. So many emotions, especially given her conversation with Oliver earlier.

Laurel's dad's speech in the episode before was absolute perfection. I was so proud! I love that guy.

Oh, and to clarify, I guess I'm being optimistic about Laurel. She hasn't really gotten any better or any more likable as a character, but I did like that she listened to what her dad said. I'm hoping that she'll reflect on that more and that'll change how pouty (perfect description, btw) and self-righteous she always is.

Hopefully.

I feel the same about Roy, and was also getting irritated with Thea. I didn't hate her because I understand that she's reacting like a lot of normal teenagers would... but still. My heart totally broke for her in the last scene of last week's episode, though, so that other stuff seems pretty distant.
