Fostered a few pit bulls and pit type breeds wouldn't again with my own pack now. Love pits, would trust with my human kids but never would trust them with my other fur kids. And I too say corgi's. I have 4 and love them all to bits but they can be the most scrappy dogs at times. They act like terriers I don't like the fighting. So no more corgi's for me. I have all herding breeds and my husband has a golden and I would never own a golden again. Once you go herding breeds no other breeds seem to fit with my life style.

Ironically, I use to hate ACDs, which is a really funny concept now. We initially thought Charlotte might have some ACD in her because of her natural herding abilities (we now know she's not mixed with ACD, but is rather just a jack of all trades :D) and through that it prompted me to do more research on the breed and that was what opened my eyes and eventually lead to me wanting one. And now we've got Ma'ii :D

I've always disliked hound types and for some odd reason, my parents got me a beagle puppy when I was 12? She was the best dog I ever had, but I will never own another. XD

I thought bassets were hideous & stubborn before I got Daisy. Daisy is the best dog ever but I'm still very picky about my bassets.

I do have to admit I thought smooth collies were ugly the first time I saw them. But it was just because they were different, I never really even knew they existed before Logan. It didn't take long to warm up to their looks, and now I LOOOOVE the looks of a nice smoothie. There are some hideous BYB collies, though...

Not really. I've only ever lived with herders (Aussies, ACDs, GSD, Vallhund) and one JRT. There are some breeds that wouldn't be my first choice, but none that I really disliked or had a problem with. I'm definitely in love with English Shepherds, so that could be a reason I wouldn't seek out those breeds again in the near future, but I wouldn't write them off completely.

I would love another GSD and JRT especially.

Ummm, I own a lab springer thingy right now. And no, I will NEVER have a Labrador or predominantly Lab mix again. The Springer traits I'm kind if fine with, although I wish he had a brain.

I think I hate everything about Labs, actually. Except the water-loving part. Why couldn't he have gotten that!?

Some days I wake up& am pretty sure I hate Vizslas. It's always a passing thought as I remember that all dogs have moments we wish we could kill them.

Yea chihuahua but he's technically my aunt's dog. He spends too much time here though. I love him because he's our dog but I really dislike him a lot too!

Well I've never really considered myself a hound person, and now I have Maisy and that has all turned out alright.

I had a Labrador mix when I was younger, about 12-13 years old maybe. Looked exactly like a purebred dog with tan points. He was black. He was a lovely dog and had a great temperament and personality. He was an outside dog and a master escape artist. In general, I'm not a huge fan of Labradors. I would never go out and purposely get one. We ended up giving him to another family when he was a year old. He made a heck of a guard dog. lol They never had coyotes again.

as an aside, labs DO come in tanpoint, so he might have been just a plain ole lab :)

I did not like GSD and wrote off mals until I trained with them, they were okay when we fostered and pet sat but when Denis got Sloan I was hooked.

Yes, definitely. I was always a fan of the traditional (gamebred) APBT and for years viewed the "pitterstaffs" and "pet bulls" with derision and scorn. I started out enamored of the working potential of the pit bull and had grandiose dreams of bitesports and weight pull and Superdogs. HA. yeah, feel free to laugh at me XD After years of clinging to my working dogs, I got a blue tri Am Bully (why? no idea!) and the rest is history. Ill NEVER own anything else. Even my vague plans of having an English Shepherd or a Standard Poodle are just that, vague. I dont think I could ever have something that doesnt have the bullyderp personality. They fit me soooo perfectly
Interesting enough, while many APBTs I meet are either a hit or miss, every single American Bully that came along, even those who were given to the shelter, I ended up falling in love with them. I even considered owning one in the future. That personality they have...

I ended up with a chow mix and I never cared for chows. He was badly bred though so I won't judge chows due to that.

I know that. :) He was a mix. Mother was a purebred chocolate. She ran loose in the country so the father could have been anything. I imagine it was the black, pointy-eared stray that hang around with her all the time. Duke was the only one with tan points, the rest of the litter was all black with white markings. My friend's family owned the mom.

Can't say I have! The only other dog I've owned besides longhaired whippets was the rough collie I had growing up. He was a great dog and I'd definitely consider owning another collie, although probably not anytime in the near future.
