FIRST ANNUAL GIANT CHAZZER MIDWEST MEET UP!!!!!

When: Saturday, August 24, 2013; 1 PMish

Where: East Branch Dog Park, Glendale Heights, IL area.

How: By whatever means necessary! Fly, drive, train. Just be there. ;)

Ideas of places to stay overnight, in case you so desire (which I'd recommend, just from my last experience with the dog park. It's so great you never want to leave and it's nice to stay close and crash immediately).

Blackwell Forest Preserve: If you are into the camping thing. We could even meet there, or go there after our dog park excursion, I would presume. There's an off leash dog area and you can reserve pavilions. We could do a cookout. It's an option and where I am 99% sure I'll be staying

Couple hotel ideas (there's probably more or better/closer hotel options but I don't have the time to research that ;) )
La Quina to the north in Schaumburg. Red Roof Inn, Downers Grove (where PW & I stayed) to the south 25 minutes

Mark the date on the calendar! Ya wouldn't want to miss it!! :D

Welp, even if Payton were trialing at this point, the only agility is in McCook and I don't usually trial there. So I'm down for this! (er, up.)

Totally interested in coming! I should have Future Puppy by that time, God's willing, so will actually have a dog to bring. If Mike is still in the area I'll have to drag him and Cynder along as well.

Great idea :)

I will check my calender and see if we can make it.
Feel free to use a sharpie and save the date, any previous penciled in plans will no longer be noticeable ;) Hope you can make it!!

I really thought that said I could reserve papillons. I got confused.
Well if reserving papillons will get you there, consider it done!

Yahooooo!!! SOEXCITED.

It looks like we won't have anything going on that weekend! This should be fun!
YAY!!!!

If Squash has his driver's license by then I'll send him over for this.
I MUST see Siri run and play with Squash. I must, I must, I must.

I'm marking this on my calendar as soon as I get home!

I would like to come if I don't have anything else going on, but I always have a secret fear that my dog(s) are going to be huge jerks and want to chicken out at the last second.

You obviously haven't met the merle girls. They are the most rude and obnoxious dogs that have ever existed and yet people still want to meet them and continue to see them! It still baffles me.

Well as long as there's someone there whose dogs are worse than mine. :p

Squash is really the only crowd-appropriate one of mine, anyway. And he's very sweet he just has no concept of his size. Or speed. Or really anything.

Well, I'll probably only be bringing Zinga because Zuma doesn't really enjoy the company of new dogs all that much. And I can guarantee that Zinga will be the worst behaved dog there. So ya.

Ill try to convince SO to go to this. It's a drive but... It's a lot of notice and it sounds like so much fun!

And I really want to see Gwen play with Koolies...

I'll be there! Surprise, surprise.

And Sass, whoever I end up bringing will be awful, so don't worry about it. And when PW and K9 and I met everyone's favorite dog was this goofy white dog with no understanding of his body. Squash will be loved.

Have you ever met a basenji? I am sure that with Watson around nothing your dogs get up to will even come close on the jerk scale ;)

I'm gonna be the person futilely yelling "Squash... Squash.... SQUASH!!!!" like you're not supposed to do. :p

Seriously, he's a sweet boy. Just a bit overexuberant at times. If we make this, he will be in his own private heaven.

Mike said he'd come, so I will totally plan on coming. :D With Cynder at the very least, but if Future Puppy has had his vaccines (if he is a ready to go home August puppy, he may be too young...if he's a ready to go home June puppy, he'll be perfect!), he will come along, too!
