I've have a metro phone, and no compliants, but I just want a new gadget and don't want to pay for metro's overpriced phones. Now that Tmobile and AT&T have no contract phones, I'm deciding on one or the other.

Now on Yahoo News, its says At&t was rated worst, and Tmobile was like 2nd best. I've known two people who have their G1 screen break and people tell me the service isn't all that great/having problems on behalf of Tmobile.

What are your experiences with these companies/phones?!!

Thank You!

If those are your only 2 choices.... T-Mobile.

They are not the best and around here at least, sometimes spotty coverage. But you cannot beat their pricing. We have 4 phones on our company plan. $99/month per phone for unlimited EVERYTHING. Text, talk, internet, 48 state long distance... As much as we are on the stupid things, its a great deal.

I have never heard anything good about tmobile. Barely any service here yet people had to have that slider a couple years ago so I got stuck hearing people complain about their reception and the crappy customer service for a while.

At&t sucks to!

No verizon by you? They have been rated #1 for years. I have had them for a while, only place thats never tried to screw me over on a bill and never had problems with insurance or replacement phones. Also the only phone that has service by my house! They have a lot of phones that are not priced to badly.

I don't think I have ever heard of anyone actually having boost here so I guess there must not be any coverage. I've seen the commercials though. Don't think metro is something we have either, but have heard people arguing over them in court shows on tv. Prices did sound nuts!

Does your work offer a discount at any of the phone companies? We get a 24% on monthly service and 12% for phones and accessories at verizon. Some of the other phone companies offer discounts to us to but I have never paid attention!

I have tmobile. can't really complain, they have been great to me so far.
I have the unlimited loyalty plan.. because ive been with them for more than a year so I get everything unlimited for something like $70 a month. but I have to pay a bit more for the extra blackberry stuff lol

I guess ive gotten lucky customer service and reception wise lol I always have reception. My mom has at&t and she also is happy with it and her Iphone..

Between the two (three, if you include Verizon), AT&T all the way. Got horribly screwed by Verizon a number of years ago and will never give them the time of day, much less my business. T-mobile has no coverage in most places I've been. I've never had trouble getting a signal with my AT&T phones in any place in the country, including Hawaii. I had good coverage in Canada as well. It just works :)

I have no experience with boost, so I can't form an opinion on that.

Can't say about either of the two. Haven't really jumped from company to company, currently I'm with verizon and I like their service its good...except for this last stunt they pulled on me ended up with a HUGE bill (thats what I get from trying to use the net on my phone).

I guess if its only between those two I would go with what Yahoo News says.lol.

Isn't Boost sorta like Metro? I mean the unlimited plans are good at metro, buuut the phones are overly priced. I just want an inexpensive fancy phone, touch screen, camera, keyboard, yada yada lol. So thats why I'm going the at&t or tmobile route.

As for verizon, my friend always tells me how she's getting screwed over, so thats my reason for not going that route.

Hmm really the no contract unlimited plan is like $80 (calls, text, and web)....I would like something that builds my credit though, so maybe I should get a contract plan, the phone would be cheaper too. So does that mean the bill is cheaper too? Because from what I seen on the website, it says $80 for the no contract plan.

My ex had that build your credit thing, and his bill was like $80-something, but he had limited minutes, so IDK what plan was that. He had a G1.

The Iphone is the only phone you can't get with the no contract plan.

I had t-mobile for a couple of years and hated it because we had so many dropped calls. I guess the service area around this neck of the woods was not favorable for t-mobile. I've never had at&t... but I am really fond of their iphone they offer. I have verizon and have had no real complaints with their service other than it being so dang expensive.

I have tmobile and the coverage is GREAT... I always have service and never have dropped calls... but really it is all dependent on where you live... there are soo many cell phone towers in NYC (yes Ill be dying of cancer someday soon).

The customer service is hit or miss really. Sometimes you get a great, helpful person and other times not so much.

Honestly, all cell phone companies are pretty bad, its an industry wide problem.

I basically go by the best plan I can get and deal with the other problems as they come.
