Well, after reading all the fine print and then talking to my friend (& CPA & tax guy), we have no reason to be docked any money. We sure as hell don't make more than $150,000 a year, we aren't delinquent on student loans (I actually paid all of mine off and my husband is close), etc. etc.

I found a number and called it and basically I was just told to wait for the accompanying letter that states why we got the amount we did. But I'm still extremely pissed.

Amazing how they promise to give me MY money back then they don't. It's my freaking money!

Also, it seems that the majority of people out there are NOT or did NOT get back as much as they also thought. No one that I've talked to so far (siblings, friends, coworkers) got back the amount that wass instilled into their brains. Guess we'll just have to wait and see what reasoning there is behind this.

As for econmic stimulus, since everything is ****ing made in China, doesn't this check this mean we'll be stimulating China's economy and killing ourselves at the same time? At our expense?

(& for the record, ours is going towards a new air conditioning coil...yippee.....and baby stuff.........if we have any left over that is)
Ours was deposited last Friday, and it was the full amount expected. But I do agree with you.........our case is not the norm. Most people at work who have already received their deposits have gotten considerably less than stated on the website, in most cases it was HALF!

It makes me worry that WE might get a letter saying they are taking some back :p

And penalizing you 22.78% per day, starting from the date the erroneous deposit was made into your account . . .

We got ours yesterday and it was the full amount expected. We are going to Mexico at the end of the month, so ours will be used to stimulate the Mexican economy!!! :D

You guys calm down. They are supposed to come out individually even if you filed jointly. It is going to be spread out between May 2nd and July.....Something. They are going in order by the last two digits of your social secrity number. Starting at 01 and ending w/ 99. For ex. My last two are 93 so I dont expect anything until July. Atleast this is how it was all explained to me in an email from some state employee I know. My husband doesnt believe we are going to get anything but a lot of people already have. Oh and if you signed up to have yours direct deposited you get it 2 weeks before the mailed ones. I dont think they have even begun mailing yet. Its only the direct deposit ppl getting theres so far.

When we got ours direct deposited, we also got a letter informing us of the amount and when it was scheduled to be deposited. The letter also stated that if we did not receive it within 6 weeks of the scheduled date to call and inquire.

That was my thought too. My friend Jon that did my taxes said that I should be getting one. I wonder if I should call up the IRS and try and find out.
