Caiza has been eating Natures variety raw venison patties for about 5 days now and is doing incredibly well on it. He goes CRAZY for his REAL meat! He finally has firm normal stools and it is very small which is great LOL!! At this point I was willing to try anything to help his GI issues and after being VERY skeptical about feeding raw and almost totally against it at one point I can now say that I am a true believer in it!

Thanks Jess! Funny thing is, is that I was trying to transition Caiza slowly on to raw, but he was NOT having it! I gave him his boiled hamburg and white rice mixed with some lamb and rice kibble for breakfast one morning and he threw it up! About an hour later I gave him two tablespoons of plain organic yogurt and a raw venison pattie and he was golden LOL! I ended up putting him on raw cold turkey, he didn't need a transition LOL!

I hope so Renee...........If it comes back I am going to do an ultrasound because it is more invasive than the Xrays. Right now I am keeping my fingers crossed and hoping that raw will answer my prayers. Anyways, Caiza is back to his normal self, I took him swimming this morning and he played a nice round of fetch!

I'm glad its working out for him. I was reading up on this in the food forum. I was pretty skeptical to. I wonder if it would be OK to suppliment with some raw.

Shanon I am so happy to hear that Caiza is getting back to his normal feisty self. Nothing worse then an ACD down. It is just not natural lol. Yea Caiza and big hugs to you my favorite red boy after my own that is lol

I do like that one and was thinking about it but I think these two scream even louder!!
