I'm pulling my hair out with my cat! I've tried a few things and the only thing she used to eat consistently was Wellness, the saucy kind... and now even that's not always the case. I've tried Core, Primal Instinct... no go. She won't eat dry food.

Help? I'd like to try to stick to grain free...

ETA: just saw the other thread. My cat didn't even touch the Honest Kitchen stuff (which I got for free).

I don't know that this is much help, but I feed my cats a mix of canned Innova (not grain-free) and dry Taste of the Wild (grain-free).

I went with the Innova because it was the only cat food in 13oz cans that I can reliably get, and one of my boys didn't do well on a trial with canned EVO.

The 13oz can was kind of important to me, because my cats go through ~4-5oz per day... which adds up fast in the little 3oz cans.

Don't get too hung up on the grain free. Pay more attention to the carbohydrate content regardless of where the carbs are coming from. There are several diabetic cat support groups online who maintain lists of low carbohydrate brands/flavors.

I have no advice on the food bit as my cats have always eaten dry, but is there a medical reason she isn't wanting to eat? Or when she skips a meal or two, does she still maintain her body condition? Try to eat other things?

It just seems odd to me that a healthy adult cat would not eat to the point I'd be worried. And if it boils down to where she is loosing weight or it is dangerous for her to be picky, I'd honestly be trying foods that normally wouldn't hit my radar, or foods that are grain inclusive (to a moderate degree) too see if they strike her fancy.

I don't know. She'd just rather get hungry than eat if she doesn't like it. I guess I'll go to the store and buy a few things and see if there's something she eats reliably... I remember trying Natural Balance too and she wasn't a fan. She used to like EVO but it got recalled so much we switched brands...

I feed weruva and Earthborn canned foods. We used to feed a HUGE variety but they were starting to not eat a lot of them so we simplified down to these two brands (because my dad likes that they're not pate lol). So yeah, they're both the type that look like actual meat which some cats prefer.
