What is your skin care routine (face)?

I'm going to be 30 this summer :yikes: and while I have a morning routine I am quite ok with, I'd like to get into an evening routine that will help any incoming wrinkles etc. Especially with summer coming as I spend a lot of time in the wind and sun.

My am routine is to use St. Ives facial scrub in the shower and then Oil of Olay moisturizer with SPF in it. I've really struggled to find an evening moisturizer that is not too heavy/suffocating feeling, that doesn't make me feel like a grease ball by morning. I'm also curious about age serums...anyway, any tips/hints/advice?? :)

I'm kind of obsessed with taking care of my skin lol

Do some research on the st Ives. The scrubs are pretty bad for you skin because they cause micro tears.

Anyway in the evening I cleanse with an oil cleanser. I have a few that I like. You just have to find one that works for you.

then I tone with the cranberry toner from Michael Todd.

Then I use my Estée Lauder advanced night repair serum

And then my favorite night time moisturizer is this gel

I do a mast once or twice a week too.
Either a sheet mask from my local Asian store or the Michael Todd pumpkin and occasionally a clay mask if my skin is acting up.

I use grapeseed oil in the shower almost daily.
Then coconut oil mixed with brown sugar as an exfoliater a few times per week.
Tea tree oil as a spot treatment.
And again coconut oil as a make-up remover at night.

I also use a honey, milk, and brown sugar scrub mask every so often.
Oh and a hand-made clove oil soap bar when my face gets especially greasy due to hormones.

I had moderate acne growing up and all the widely regarded treatments made my face a million times worse (especially ProActiv). Stopped with the chemicals, and the breakouts stopped.

A friend of mine reps Sibu, so I just use that.

I use the scrub in the shower and then I have the toner and the oil that put on after.

I'm not crazy into skincare though, so I wouldn't be able to tell you what is great for what or anything.

I'm currently using Clinique's dramatically different moisturizing gel. It's great for summer, nicely moisturizes and isn't oily at all. It doesn't leave any kind of unabsorbed oiliness on my face like most other moisturizers and creams.

I use Olay's facial scrub in the shower every other day.

Yeah that's pretty much it, lol. I moisturize when it's too dry too but that doesn't happen too much (just in Winter really, and pretty much only my hands get really dry). Just can't help wondering sometimes if using a lot of chemicals on your skin is really better for it. Plus it's much cheaper not to :rofl1:

I rub coconut oil into my face before getting into the shower, rub my face under the water, done.

Baking soda paste for an exfoliant when needed, then coconut oil. Tea tree oil on blemishes.

My skin has never been better.

I do literally nothing besides wash my face with water and occasionally use moisturizer. When I lived in the city and needed to wash because of pollutants and going out partying more I did exactly what RD describes.

As I get older I do use sun protection whenever I go outside and try to remember sunglasses.
