I'm from Australia too, and the whole backyard breeding thing is not known about as much here as it is in the States. And it really should be - it's a massive problem and awareness needs to be raised.

Your little girl is SUCH a cutie! Oh! Love..... I'm so glad you made the right decision - not only for her, but for her puppies which will just be another lot to add the tens of thousands who already need homes. That's if they survived.

I haven't read through all the posts, but it is very dangerous to breed chihuahuas because of their small size. I would never breed a chihuahua under 4.5lbs (which I feel is even too small to breed... 5-6lb preferably). Also, while your baby is gorgeous, she does not appear to have perfect confirmation... she looks like she has a deer type head, rather than an apple (which is fine for a pet quality chihuahua... my Madison is a deer type chihuahua as well and I love him to death).
