I love peppermint tea. It's good for my tummy and I'd been yearning for it all week but kept forgetting to get some. So, yesterday I went to the store and was thrilled to see that Stash tea was having a great sale. I looked and looked but couldn't find the peppermint anywhere. So I looked at other brands and it was all green tea green tea green tea. I love green tea but I don't think that anyone tea should dominate! Especially when it's green box is in competition with my green peppermint tea. :( Is green tea taking over the world?

Anyway, I found a box at the very back of the shelf. Last one. And I'm happily enjoying it now.

It's the tea du jour, lol! I've got to re-stock my lovely Darjeelings and some Irish Breakfast and Russian Caravan . . . I haven't been drinking enough tea lately. Need to get some good green tea, too. Not this awful stuff that passes for it at the grocery, yechh!

By the way, Saje, peppermint is really easy to grow. Actually, it's easier to grow than it is to get rid of

i snitched a lovely small piece of mint this spring..(shame on me) and rooted it. IT is called candy mint and smells incredible. I have several different kinds of mint, but have never smelled one quite like this. I think you would like it very much. i have a lovely speariment, chocolate and orange, but this is wow stronger.

There is NO good green tea. At least none that is easily found. I watched something about it on Discovery or some other similar channel. Asian countries keep all the good stuff for themselves.

(side note: I here a cat puking :( )

Dont ever plant mint near the front of a house, if it blooms it draws flies..smells like sugar. I am careful to pinch off all blooms. I have friends here from Pakistan that i take mint to..they use it a great deal in their cooking.

Wow. I'd love to have mint. I wonder if I can grow it inside? I'd have to keep it in a room without cats as they love to knock plants over!

I also love tea. I especially love the Tazo tea. It has a great green tea, plus many more. Green tea is supposed to freshen breath better then mint or parsley. It also has many other positives for health. :D

Yup Green Tea is good for you. I just don't think it should be the ONLY tea. :D

I didn't make 'proper tea' just a tea bag in a mug and did it ever get dark!

When I was a kid our family went on a tour of a tea factory. I think it was Celestial Seasonings but it could have been Stash. Something common at the time. They have to keep the peppermint in it's own sealed room otherwise the smell permeates into all the other teas. And when we walked into that room it was like snorting Vicks Vapo - totally clear sinuses!
