This morning my dad woke up and stepped in pee, I guess Tucker couldn't hold it. It's the weekend so my parents slept in (and they lock their door with him in there so I could let him out even though I was up early) so he didn't go out as early as usual. So we weren't too concerned even though he almost never has pee accidents (poo accidents are not uncommon but I can only think of one other pee accident in the last 3 years or so). I took him to training class and when we came home he started drinking water so I filled his bowl up to the rim. He drank the whole thing. He had a ton of treats at class so I figured they just made him thirsty. About an hour later he was begging to go out so I took him out and he peed a small lake. Not odd considering how much he drank. I brought him in and he was back at the bowl so I filled it to the top again. He drank a little and stopped. I left for an hour or so, leaving him alone. Got home, stepped in pee. He had drank his whole bowl again. About an hour later he asked to go out so I took him and he peed a ton again.

It's been about 3 hours since then, I let him out again and he peed a large amount, not as much as before but still a lot considering it had only been 3 hours since he last went. He has toned down the drinking though.

Do you think maybe the treats were really salty (it's a food roll-Happy Howie's) and just made him over drink (and that the first accident was just a coincidence) or would you be really concerned? When would you go to the vet?

If it continues beyond today I'd start ruling out medical stuff. Not sure on your clinics policies, but if we've examined the dog within the past year we are ok with just having a urine sample dropped off without needing to see the dog for an exam. (Unless the urine results indicate otherwise of course).

Seems to be back to normal. I swear all these treats from class are messing him up. Last Monday he has a poopsplosion all over my brothers room and the basement. I blamed the freeze dried raw treats I used so this week I did Happy Howies but now I wonder about the sodium content. I think I'll just boil up some chicken breasts for this Sunday.
