Oh I just ate some of it too. It was by FAR the best one I have ever made. So creamy, so chocolatey (if that is even a word). I am not trying to toot my own horn but it was very delicious.
HA! Tooting your own horn . . . You're not fooling anyone! You're teasing us and enjoying it! :D Bet it was out of this world - and I'll bet you didn't have any left over, either!

I found it on the internet. I just typed cheesecake recipes into msn search, and then I searched through some until I found ones that I was interested in making. But I have to say it was by far the best one I have made.

Renee - yes I suppose I was teasing everyone a little. There is some left actually and I am going to take a couple of pieces over to Jenny's owners when they get back. I know that you will never believe that I accidentally forgot it yesterday when we were going to my aunt's house. Accidentally. ;)

Happy Holidays Milo!

I went to my aunt's on Christmas day. They already had a chocolate lab named Smoke and they just got a baby yellow lab. Her name is lil' girl and she is so sweet. I forgot how nice little puppy kisses all over your face could be. She had the cutest little tail and of course all my family is there and I am in the playroom playing with the puppy. Puppies are so fun!

Oh he was VERY curious about where I had been. He was forcefully sniffing all over me. and my husband. But knowing him he would just be upset that he was left out of playing with another dog instead of being jealous. Every now and then he gets a little jealous even when Jenny tries to get some attention from me, but usually he is pretty good about it.

You should see the sniffing the girls give me if I've been around another animal. Especially Shiva. They don't just sniff, they poke with those big snouts, sniffing and snorting. Shiva will actually pull your clothes away from your body with her inhalations sometimes! Then she pokes you, and pokes you, and pokes you again, and looks very grieved and put-upon when you laugh at her and tell her to stop it. Kharma just looks at you and cocks her head sideways, then turns around with her back to you and looks back at you over her shoulder and tosses her head. I think that's a definite comment . . .

Bimmer gives you a once-over, very efficiently and gets whatever information he wants, then pushes his head under your hand for a rub. He's either the least jealous or the most secure dog I've ever seen. Bear was a close second, but I think Bimmer's a bit more secure since I've had him since he was about four months old.

Shiva and Kharma are just nosy and think they should have ALL of the attention ALL of the time . . .

Brady sounds like he does it exactly like Shiva (minus 65 pounds?). He does that poking and sniffing and snorting. He will shove his nose right into you over and over until he is satisfied he got a big enough whiff to find out who this dog is and hunt it down.

I know dogs have a great sense of smell, but he has the best of any dog I have ever had. You can hide something and it does not matter where it is, he can find it with that grand nose of his. And if it is food, his tongue is lapping so fast behind that nose that you don't even have a chance to get your food out of the way before that huge tongue hits it. It is almost as if he can taste it before he ever even touches it.

LOL! I've got to take Shiva and get her weighed again. I'm sure she's left 140 pounds in her wake. I've decided she's part pig. If I could teach her to hunt truffles I'd have it made! She goes after food like Brady does; fortunately, she understands what "mine!" means. She looks most aggrieved when she hears it, but she does lower that big head down below food level. Often she'll lay that big head on your lap and watch you, doing her utmost to look like the most pathetic dog that ever lived. She's very, very good at it. :D

My goodness it sounds like Shiva and Brady have very similar personalities, they would probably get along great! Brady understands when I pull it away and say NO and he puts his head on my arm and looks so pathetic you would think he had never had any food before in his life. He is such a big baby. I love that boy for it though!

They probably shouldn't be allowed anywhere near each other! Can you imagine all the things they might cook up between them? How would you like Brady to learn to move things so that he could stand on them to get things you've put out of his reach?

I'm sure he's got a few things figured out that Shiva never, ever needs to know, too!

He already thinks the counter is perfectly acceptable for him to get stuff off of. I can't imagine him learning how to get higher! He is obsessed with trying to eat paper towels too. He can be so odd. If I have one that I heated my poptart in or even just a plain one, i have to hide it in my sweatshirt so he can't get it, but he has that nose that can find anything so he just pushes me hard over and over with that nose until he can weasel his nose into my sweatshirt and steal it. Those two would be BIG trouble together.

Yep, yep, Shiva and Kharma both love the paper towels and will go get them out of the trash - even if I'm sitting five feet away in plain sight.

Shiva could teach Brady how to unscrew lids. Especially peanut butter jar lids.

Then I would be in big trouble b/c sometimes peanut butter is my only leverage over him. He knows that his is special treat. He gets it if he is a really good boy and when I leave the house. And if he is really good he gets the jar to lick clean when it is at the end of the peanut butter. Boy does he love that!

Shiva's passion for peanut butter is surpassed only by her passion for bones. The only place she can't get to the peanut butter is on top of the fridge, and she'll try to climb up after it. If she sees it sitting near the edge, she'll bump the fridge with her rump and try to make it fall off. If she gets it, she'll run off and hide with it while she unscrews the lid, then she eats all she wants. If there's any left, she'll hide the jar and go back and get it later.

In Shiva's World, all bones belong to Shiva. Bones are the only thing she'll buck Bimmer over. When bones are involved, there are no friends, only Bad Dogs Who Want To Steal Shiva's Bones!

I'll bet she'd completely lose her mind if I stuffed a bone with peanut butter!

Barb, you have my heartfelt sympathies. It's impossible to get too upset with them, isn't it? They're just too funny and love it so much that it's more of a compulsion than trying to misbehave. I've come to grips with the fact that Shiva is an obsessive/compulsive, passive aggressive personality. Unless, of course there is peanut butter or a bone - or pretty much any kind of food involved; then there's nothing passive, just a strict adherence to the principle that a straight line is the shortest route no matter what kind of obstacles are between her and the food. ;)
