So if all goes well, Ticket will be going into the show ring this summer. He's going to be harder to groom than Kilt, he's got some curly hair for a border collie!

Anyway can deal with the body, I have that figured, but right at the back of his skull he has curlies. Like someone smacked him across the back of his head and the hair stuck for lack of a better way to explain it. I didn't hit him, really!:rofl1:

But how should I deal with them? Tempted to take a stripping knife and keep pulling them out, or using thinning shears to get them off and blended in. I'm thinking his neck needs a bit of that work anyway. Shaving won't work because his undercoat will show up too much.

Ideas?

Have you tried hot oil solutions? Readily available on groceries but Im not so sure if its safe for dogs.
