Our 90 lb, 11 year-old Goldendoodle (named Rax) got into a bucket of old eggs from a hidden chicken nest this morning. Since then he has gotten progressively more sick. He could have eaten up to 20 eggs, he has a lot of yellow, runny, and terribly smelly throw-up and now seems to be bloating. He isn't willing to get up from the pain and isn't eating. He did drink some and will rest his head down, but won't stretch out on the ground to relax.
I'm worried about the bloating (his gas smells terrible) and the fact that his breathing is sort of audible. Is there anything we can do to help besides offer him food and rest until he gets better? Should we take him to the emergency vet (we're low on cash, but can make due if necessary).

Thank you so much!

We took Rax to the vet today and they said he seems to have Pancreatitis. He is on supportive care, was given fluids and antibiotics, and lots of love. We aren't sure if he will make it, there is little to do besides fight the symptoms and hope he can get past it.
Please pray for our sweet Rax, he has been doing well despite his age. He is in a great deal of pain and won't stand. I really hope he can get through this.

He past away just a few minutes ago, peacefully, with his best friend (my brother) beside him. We had laid him near the fire-place and he seemed very calm. We're going to bury him today, out in the frozen ground. I'm not sure how to react currently, I'm very sad but wondering when he would pass was just so hard.
Our friend, who is a vet, thinks he had an underlying problem. It's nice to know the eggs didn't end his life early, that it was his time. But he was just so happy a few days earlier. At least he didn't have to suffer long.

Thank you for your prayers.

Rest in God's hands Rax. I look forward to seeing you again one day, bouncing around like a puppy in the fields as you always use to.
