Update on Stella Called this morning to see how she did through the night and was told incisions look good, she seems to be OK but then I was told Dr Lee needs to do some work on her so call after 2 and we'll see if you can come visit. Am I stressed?? Yes

Stella update After exploritory surgery found no obstruction, the vet went further and saw that the pyloric sphincter valve (pyloric stenosis) had become think and repaired it. Will be able to see her tomorrow. So now I'm asking if anyone has had this happened? Anyone heard of this before...

After doing another barium with a 1/2 can of dog food today, the vet watched it flow thru her system. Only about 2 T made it thru to her small and large intestines. The rest remained in her stomach and she vomited. He will be doing surgery tomorrow morning to see if he can find out what is going...

Thank you. I guess I'll go with 24 hrs w/o food just as long as I can keep pedalite in her and so far tonite it's stayed down.

Thanks I started the pedalite ( 1 T every hour) with a little honey. I hope she retains some of it. Thanks for all the advice.

That was my biggest concern dehydration. It's been a awhile since I've had a pup around and wanted to make sure pedalite was OK. What would you suggest 1 T every hour? She is so very hungry and just does not act sick at all. Thank you.
