    Our new pup, what breed?

I got some good shots yesterday of him in the backyard so I will upload those later today. He is such a sweet boy, he just lays by my feet while we watch tv. He will just be on his side with his tail just a going. My older dog is in heaven, she just loves him. They will already snuggle up together.

    Our new pup, what breed?

Here is our new puppy. He is 11 weeks old and 5 lbs. He has grown 1 lb since he was 7 weeks old. We got him from a rescue that pulled him from the kill shelter before he got put in the back. They seem to think that he will not get bigger than 20lbs. He has no siblings and no mother to use as a...

    Reusable weewee pads

I cloth diaper my daughter and washing them is not a big deal. I would imagine if you are just using them for pee than you won't have any issues. I always double rinse to get all the detergent out-if you have detergent build up then it can cause an ammonia stink after they pee. If you can find...

    clipper and blade rec

Well, I was a bather back in high school and would have to shave down dogs on occasion so I am not a complete novice. I remember how well those clippers cut through hair and thought buying the most expensive pair at Target would at least be similar but I was so wrong. I was better off with the...

    clipper and blade rec

I have a mix w/fur similar to a shih tzu or yorkie type dog, it is silky and fine. I have been trying to groom her myself and bought some dog clippers at Target but her hair barely gets cut. I usually end up scissoring her face, legs, and feet because the clippers suck so bad. I want to invest...

    One puppy versus two puppies

I agree with all of you, I know I do not want 2 puppies, I know the difficulties of having multiples. I just did not know if fostering 2 puppies would be easier/harder. I am not sure why I thought it would be different than actually raising 2 puppies but I guess my "logic" was that you aren't...

    One puppy versus two puppies

Thanks for your opinion. I think it will depend on the situation. I don't know that many people in real life that have gotten more than one puppy at a time. My trainer says it is not a good idea because the puppies (esp if siblings) will have a deep bond that may create issues. Then he went and...

Are you saying that as a pet owner or for fostering or for both situations?

    One puppy versus two puppies

How much harder is it to have two puppies? I'm thinking 2 smallish breeds (mixed). Are some things easier? I never in a million years would have thought of getting two but recently I've begun to consider fostering and was wondering if having 2 would be easier or harder. Will they entertain each...

breeds and adopting from a shelter

I can't figure out where to post so I'll just ask here. How did you go about fostering your first dog? Did you just let them give you any dog or did you go pick one out?
