I suppose a lot of it comes down to whether or not you're happy with your dog and the relationship you've formed. As long as we're not talking about a public safety liability, why does it matter if other people don't find your dogs level of training acceptable? The kind of person I had in mind...

Sorry about the coon, but thank you for sharing your story. I think it's easy for some of us (*me* lol) to put those "unlikely" events on the back burner. It's good to get a wake up call every now and again to remind us to be vigilant. Thank goodness you had your shots up to date!!

This sounds like a wonderful example of how to use a crate to help enhance your ability to safely care for and train your puppy! I wish they had like buttons on this site, I would like this a million times :)
