Actually, I am the proud owner of a female IT! She's almost 2 years old, and is a wonderful dog, although certainly not for everyone, LOL. They are very active, very intense, but very devoted. There is nothing "middle of the road" about the IT - they're an all or nothing kind of dog, LOL!

I'm more familiar with Hutterites as my parents are German-speaking and my dad had some Hutterite friends. Amazing how a little German will get you a free Hutterite-made saskatoonberry pie at the farmer's market, LOL!

Very true, and I think they are in Ontario, with very small numbers in their group. I would imagine the closest Western Canadian comparison is the Hutterites, as I mentioned above.:)
